SDMB Big League Fantasy Football 2014

I had heard talk coming from Baltimore that they are sticking with Pierce after placing the bid, and was a bit worried, but I’m not sure a better opportunity is going to come up in this league.

Quite possible, but it’s not like Bernard Pierce is any great shakes, so I’d expect at least a decent time-share for Forsett now that Rice is perma-gone. That would make him useful, though likely not $100 useful.

If I really thought Pierce was going to lose his job the guy I’d be going for is Taliaferro. I’ve watched Forsett play for four different teams and he’s never been more than a warm body.

I came very close to putting down $101 on Forsett. Either I made a huge mistake or I avoided this year’s Stephen Hill.

Two of my main starters, Tate and Cameron, were out, and yet I was still able to put up the 3rd highest score this week. But of course I was facing the guy with the highest score, so off to 0-2 I go. Damn it. I’m having 45 points per week over the average scored on me so far.

I may have overbid for cousins, but between RG3 and Shaun Hill, I was in serious trouble if I didn’t win him.

Holy shit that Colston trade is just unfair. I suspect poopius may be regretting it a bit with last night’s AP news though.

:smack:

I’m a dummy. I saw “AP news” and starting searching the Associated Press for stories on Colston or Forsett. Took a few seconds for the hamsters in my noggin to get the gears churning.

I’m looking to move an RB for a WR. I’d prefer to hold onto Foster, but I’ll entertain all offers. I’m the Robber Barons.

7 of my 15 players are on bye this week. Given the waiver wire depth in this league, I think that means I should probably just throw the week.

I would love to buy low on Doug Martin, but it turns out I have no WRs to give you. Unless you are a big James Jones fan.

Cecil Shorts for Doug Martin? Get one of the first seats on the Blake Bortles express. Counter offers fine too

Had to play Eli Manning for his brother this week due to bye week…what a week for Eli to pull his head out of his ass.

Everyone is going to be picking up Eli this week as a bye-week filler. But week-to-week, it is hard to figure out which Eli you are going to get, and I say this as a huge GIANTS homer.

Well good thing I didn’t decide to throw this week, not that I could afford it at 0-3. But I had to plug Andre Brown (1.5 points/week) into my flex spot and got 12 points out of him. That’s a nice start.

Do we play divisional opponents twice in this league?

Is it just me, or has the waiver wire/free agency been extra-devoid of talent this year? Granted, with rosters as deep as this league it’s usally a reach, but there’s practically nothing out there. There’s only 22 players available that are more than 1% owned in other leagues, and most of them are injured/suspended players that just haven’t been dropped yet.

I’m taking a chance on Jarius Wright hoping that
A) He becomes Teddy’s favorite target and
B) Teddy stays healthy

Yup. Divisional opponents twice, everyone in one other division once. So I set up Threebies v. 2/3 and Deuces v. Newbies. It’s actually the same as last year, because I lost my notes at the last minute, and panicked. I can keep it the same next year, or mix up the divisional rivalries - it doesn’t really matter to me.

Munch, I sent you a trade. Let me know what you think.

And now I’m without a qb this week. Anyone want to trade me (Rough and tumblers) one?
