It looks like I would be better off staying in 8th place going into the playoffs. Overly Sentimental has been rolling these past few weeks.
Well, I lost and all 3 people I needed to lose won. It was a fun drop from 4th to 15th. That’s still higher than I deserve, I’m 19th in points for.

Yahoo is doing a promotion this week where every fantasy league gets to play a little daily fantasy sports / salary cap league against the other people in that league. You pick a roster of players worth $200 and then see how you do against the rest of the league. It’s mostly just for fun, although they’re giving out 2 bucks to both first and second place in these contests. They’re using it to try to promote their DFS service, but it seems like a fun little side-game to play against our fantasy leagues.
Anyway, at least 4 people in the league need to submit a roster for the contest to run. You have until the games start. So put together a little salary cap roster. It’ll take less than 5 minutes. It’s along the top of the screen - an “enter contest” button appears on the top right when you’re looking at a league page.
Woops, disregard that. I thought it said that it was free, but it’s actually a $1 contest. It’s still sort of a fun idea - playing DFS against your league - but I can’t participate since Nevada is one of the states that bans it. I thought I could because it would be free.
Any idea why the consolation of bracket of our league appears to be empty/nonfunctional this year?
Well, that’s it for me. I picked up Oakland on Thursday morning but I forgot to switch out Minnesota before the night game. I’m not sure it would have made a big enough difference, even if I had put in an optimal line-up. Really regretting not hanging onto the Carolina defense for the entire season.
One and done. My active teams all showed up lame this week.
