SDMB Big League fantasy football 2015

Here’s hoping Chicago doesn’t get the ball back!

ETA: I don’t recall hearing any Folk injury news pre-game. He hurt himself about an hour before game time. The announcers seemed surprised he didn’t kick-off.

Yeah, there wasn’t any news. He was active.

I hate this league.

I’m sixth in overall points. And yet I’m 3-6, and three games out of the wild card with four games to play. Bleh.

Yeah. It seemed like from the yahoo blurb that news would have broken fast enough for me to make a change if I had been paying attention.

Looks like not.

I’m starting the saddest bunch of receivers you’ve ever seen this week with my two top guys on bye. I’m forced to start Kenbrell Thompkins, 5th stringer on the Jets, Nelson Algholor, a rookie who probably hasn’t scored a point, and my shining beacon, Mohamed Sanu.

If anyone is willing to send some sort of WR for CJ Spiller, send an offer and we can get the trade in before gametime.

I had to pick up and start Corey Brown because John Brown is a big question mark in the late game. This year is ridiculous, and this league is nearly impossible to find injury replacements. Hell, I was starting Zac-friggin’-Stacy and even he is now out for the year. Where do you find a RB if you’re forced to start Zac Stacy?

And I lose the week because I forgot to swap out Folk at K now that he’s on IR.

That was a ridiculous ending in our game.

Wow, Cam scores 5 touchdowns and I’m still going to lose by 70 points. Easily my worst performance this year.

Scores vs records is all over the place this year.

My team is not great, but it’s not bad. I have 1087 points scored. But I’ve had bad luck with the head to head matchups and I’m 4-7.

A guy who has 10 more points than me is 7-4, 80 points less than me is 7-4 and a division leader, 30 points less than me is 7-4, 130 points less than me is 6-5 and a division leader.

I haven’t compared to previous years, so maybe it’s always this way, but the difference between who scored points and who won games seems significantly more out of whack than usual this year.

I coulda been a contenduh, but my Steve Smith broke. I’m now 7th in scoring (and less than one point behind 6th) but 19th in the standings. I’m officially mathematically eliminated from playoff contention, so that’s good.

I’m 2nd in points, only 9 points behind 1st, and I’m in a three way tie for 8th.

You still got the better of that deal.

That was the All-Pro league. I drafted him in this one.

I get confused in my old age.

I’m now official number 1 in points and barely hanging on to 8th place. Looking at the teams facing off next week, if I lose, I’m out. If I win, and Mundi doesn’t outscore me by 30 (which he almost did this week), I’m in.

Sitting at number 1 but 5th in points. All of my losses were blowouts but I had 3 or 4 wins that were decided by 5 points or fewer so this could be a very different season for me. Hopefully my patchwork team manages to to hold it together in the playoffs.

CJ Anderson was an absolute bust for me until this week but Gurley has been a delight.

We will never again mention that name. Lost me two games this week. One game I lost because he was on my bench and I’m starting Antonio Andrews (can’t complain about Chris Johnson, he’s been good for me just a tough break). And in All-Pro, his late explosion might have dropped me out of the playoffs.

Well my “plan” to stink my way into the playoffs may be on the ropes. I either need to beat an actual real team, or the three people who have a tied record, but worse divisional record all need to lose. Two of them appear to be in coin-flips, but at least one seems to be at a noticeable advantage. I haven’t thrown in the towel, but karma may get me this year.

Well, I managed to hold up and even bumped up to the 7 spot.

Finished 8th in points and 18th in record.
