SDMB Big League FF 2010

Beef, request for a GTD flex:
I expect that Brandon Lloyd will be active for his 4:15 game against Cincy, but he is still listed as Questionable. I’m going to be busy for the afternoon with a group gym outing and subsequent barbecue, so I won’t be around from 3-4 to check in on the decision. If Lloyd is out, could you switch in Josh Morgan (SF vs. Dallas 4:05 start) for him?

No problem. I probably won’t be able to do it before the actual game starts but I can fix it retroactively later.

Were you making fun of me? What sort of pickups do you think will be made in a league this deep that are clearly better than Devery Henderson? (103/1 this week btw)

Funny how you waited until AFTER today’s game to re-raise this issue. Timing is everything, I guess.

I personally don’t see Henderson being anywhere near consistent. But, as with all things football, we will see.

I thought about saying it before but it didn’t seem worthwhile. I just don’t understand what you guys are thinking when you react as if my move was absurd. Given the depth in this league, what players do you feel are going to appear on the waiver wire that will be worth waiting for? Devery Henderson should’ve been rostered in this league even if everyone was healthy - but with Moore and Colston out, it was a no brainer. Most people finish out the year with plenty of FAAB left over - might as well use it.

Updated FAAB budgets to reflect leftover money from the draft.

Three weeks into the season and I don’t think “fascinating” is the word I’d use anymore. I mean, OK, Foster’s injury is worse than anyone thought. But how did Chris Johnson forget to be a good running back during his holdout. That’s just… wrong.

An extreme form of studs and scrubs that actually contains no studs is an interesting ride.

Well, one stud anyway.

I’m in need of a QB for this week (Phoenix Redbirds) . All reasonable offers considered.

I’ll give you Blaine Gabbert for Sam Bradford.

This week I get to take Curtis Painter for a spin against the KC defense. Since I at least expect to put up positive points, he should make a decent BYE week fill-in. Looking ahead, Week 7 is going to be ridiculous for me with 5 open slots. I cannot see the waiver wire having enough options to save me but we will see what happens.

Accepted since I picked up Matt Moore off waivers. I’m hoping no one in the league has a problem and this trade will go through so I can have a starter QB for Sunday.

Yeah, my bad for pushing it through so late, I haven’t had internet access this week. If you can’t get to your roster tomorrow before the games I’ll put him in the slot myself.

Incidentally, I have the Carolina defense against the New Orleans offense. And my other options are projected to score 4.7, 1.3, and 0.55 fantasy points. Think I may just run no defense this week. Similar situation with tight ends…

My opponent has 7 players on a Bye. With that many on one week, it may have been planned (one give up week), but it will be a cheap win (assuming I win…watch me lose against 3 players).

Ryan Leaf needs to make up an 8 point gap with Roddy White and Jerome Harrison against Redbird’s Roddy White.

Scissor Me Timbers needs to make up 37 points with Forte, Gonzo, Crosby, and the Packers D against Unrelated Sibling’s Roy Williams.

Curry Porkrinds has to make up a 26 point gap with Ryan, Harry Douglas, and Bryant against Hamlet’s Michael Turner.

Not Sure needs 22 points out of Rodgers and Best to beat the Brute Squad.

You mean Redbird’s Julio Jones.

At least i didn’t play my TEN defense today, or i’d be in real trouble. The Steelers crapped all over them.

My team of Super Studs and Subpar Scrubs finally has our first victory! You’re next Beef!

…checks matchup…

…Chris Johnson is on a bye…

…Shit!

No Use For A Name has a 2 point lead, Brandon Marshall, and Joe McKnight against Not Sure’s Jeremy Kerley (who?), Tomlinson, and Shiancoe.

Living Through Them has a 14 point lead and Longwell against Unrelated Siblings’ Roy Williams, Aromashadu, and Jets D. Siblings could’ve had a pretty good shot at this game if he would’ve replaced his bye week kicker.

Scissor Me Timbers needs 37 points out of Forte and Harvin to beat Curry Porkrinds.

Brute squad has a 2 point leadl, Lorenzo Booker, and the Vikings D against Return of Ryan Leaf’s Burress.

Evil Monkey needs 20 points out of Sanchez, Holmes, Berrian, and Keller to beat Garcon’s Cedillia.

And i’m fucked.

I knew that Peyton Hillis was a little bit of a gamble, but i didn’t expect him to be so completely fucking worthless this season.

And at halftime, Booker and the Vikings have netted me a grand total of -1.3 points.
