I should have done the same with my Defense. The fucking Titans managed to give me -11.
And, of course, i decided to give Jacoby Jones a run in place of Plaxico Burress, and Burress chooses this week to score 3 TDs.

Clash of the Titans - Frosted and I were two 5-1 teams facing off. And… half his roster was on byes and he basically threw the week. Nice for me.
Court Jesters needs 71 points out of Brees, Garcon, Sproles, Ingram, and the Saints D to beat Retrovertigo.
Unrelated Siblings 16 points to eek out a sad win with Luke… McCown… (I assume he’s not playing, right?), Jones-Drew, and Addai against Up by Three.
Return of Ryan Leaf may set a record in futility, scoring 14 points with only a kicker left to play. And it’s not like he was loaded with bye weeks - all but one position was active this week. And he had 3 TD Plaxico on his bench
Fancypants has a 7 point lead, Rice, and Cundiff against Garcon Cedillia’s Boldin and Carter.
I didn’t think it was going to happen. They got that and more by a significant margin.
Wow. That is just amazing.
Stupid super-Bye week. I was sifting through the scraps of Free Agency when I realized that I could only fill one more slot without dropping someone productive. Looking at the results of the free agents, I would not have been able to pick up more than ten points realistically.
Starting Colston and Henderson is a pretty good way to avoid the headache that usually ensues with Saints WRs.
2 minute warning, Jacsonville gets the ball, and I lose if MJD gets 1.3 pts. Come on, onside kick! For the most undeserving win ever
It took a while, but I’ve finally resumed my rightful place on top of the league, as the only 6 win team. And hopefully 7 next week - I will miss the services of Darren McFadden, but it looks like I’ll be able to field a more complete team than my opponent this week.
Given your previous comments about H2H not accurately reflecting the quality of your previous high-scoring teams, this is hilarious. Good thing for you this year that we aren’t ranking teams by points scored, as you mentioned at the outset here and here. Although too bad for Scissor Me Timbers, who with 855 points is crushing all of us except Frosted Lightning’s 835. It will be interesting to see who makes it through the bye weeks unscathed. I am not looking forward to having to battle Frosted this week w/o Greg Jennings.
Congratulations on your current league-leading performance.
You caught me. I’m ranked 4th out of 20 in points. The shame, oh the deep shame.
Are you trying to suggest that I’m a fluke and have nothing to brag about because after leading the league two years in a row in score, I’m only in 4th place right now and shouldn’t talk?
I should clarify: Of course points scored is still the best judge of the quality of a team. I’d still advocate for a points-only league. But there were no takers. So we’re using a different scoring system, one I’m currently leading. Anyway, it was just an offhand joke about me retaking my rightful place, I wasn’t saying “I’ve got the best win-loss record, clearly this proves my fantasy skill!!!”, it was just a taunt.
If I had the highest points, I’d be bragging about that. I think they’re both (league seeding leader and eventually champion and highest scorer) things you can do that are brag-worthy. I’m not going back on anything I said before. Points scored is the only metric you have direct control over, and so of course that’s the most important when evaluating performance.
I have a whole lot of MNF/SNF players this week.
Unrelated Siblings has a 12 point lead and Michael Vick against my Bowe, Maclin, Battle, Bailey, and Chargers D.
Justin Bailey needs 20 points out of the Chiefs D to beat the Brute Squad.
Curry Porkrinds has a 4 point lead and Eagles D against Fancypants’ Vincent Jackson and Witten.
I can’t believe it’s been so difficult to beat a score of 68, but I’m not sure if I’m going to be able to do it.
Return of Ryan Leaf needs a running back. Badly.
Anyone looking for a QB, i’ve got Carson Palmer on the trading block. He’s going against Denver this week, and while Darren McFadden will probably do most of the damage against the woeful Broncos, playing Denver might also give Palmer a chance for some good production. The Raiders also added his old Bengals teammate TJ Houshmandzadeh this week, giving him another pretty capable target.
Anyway, if anyone wants to take a shot at a QB who might have a decent upside, in exchange for some RB love, let me know. I’ve also got a couple of WRs and possibly a TE that could be part of any trade.
Is there any controversy about the Redbirds/Porkrinds trade? If not, I’d like for this to be pushed through so I can set lineups for tomorrow.
Porkrinds trades Matt Ryan and Matt Bryant (K) to Redbirds for Larry Fitzgerald and Ryan Longwell.
Sorry, I was slow on the uptake with this one. Missed this post somehow. Anyway, the trade automatically went through a while ago, so hopefully you’ll both remember to set your rosters in the morning.
In other news, there are 4 unowned defenses and 3 of them are on waivers. My choice of defense is to keep San Diego against Green Bay, or pick Indy aganst Atlanta. Or, most likely, just not start a defense. Blah.
Once again, If Sam Bradford is active, I’d like him to start. However, if he’s inactive, A.J. Feeley is already my starter.
I couldn’t have screwed up roster management much worse this week. I sat Tate who put up 115/1 on the theory that a starting running back is a better idea than a backup running back, and I was very close to switching out Daniel Fells for Anthony 2 TDs Fasano. And I forgot to pick up a defense earlier in the week, leading me to starting none.
I’m good with this retroactive change, right?
Yep, done.
Edit: Or will be. Says the change may take a while to be reflected.
Hey There Fancypants needs 16 points out of Knox, Rice, and Cundiff to beat Court Jesters.
CMFD needs 19 out of Antonio Brown to beat Redbirds.
Unrelated Siblings needs 17 points out of Vick and Roy Williams… to reach 50 points.
Justin Bailey has a 7 point lead, Ward, and Celek against Not Sure’s Jason Avant and Steelers D.
Varlos… is worse than Unrelated Siblings.
