Perhaps, but as we’ve shown, many populations in the “Negroid” category are actually more closely related to the other two categories than to ther “Negroid” populations.
Basically, that sort of classification can be extremely misleading and does not accurately represent the clinal gradation in the genetic variation among human populations.

It doesn’t make those things meaningful races in a biological sense nor does it show any genetic basis for determining intelligence via eye color. All it does is separate them into 3 arbitrarily defined categories I decided to make up.

Even if it were true, you can’t just assume that a given member of one race is smarter than a given member of another. So what’s the point? If Neil Degrasse Tyson is applying for a job over NewDealDemocrat, and you pick NDD because he’s white, that’s not going to work out, because NDT is loads smarter.

According to my research, NDD has an IQ of 57. That’s just an estimate mind you, but nobody else has researched this yet so I should be considered the foremost authority.
You see, this is one of the problems with NDD.
According to NDD, a black man smarter than a white man is a genetic impossibility and any claims or evidence to the contrary are political correctness or affirmative action run amok. No, really. Read his posts. It’s all there. Apparently, Barack Obama is intellectually white (from his mother) but would be considered black for crime statistics.
As for why it’s important, NDD thinks, as blacks are always “inferior”, there should be no problems with discriminating against them at will, because it’s impossible that any individual black man is smarter than a white man.
But wouldn’t that mean you’re building in economic inefficiencies? Sure, but we in the US have done that in the past (and still do to some extent). People don’t always care if they’re maximizing profit or utility, if it satisfies some other need.
And it’s not much of a secret that you can get by without the absolute best talent. And plenty of people are will to forgo the best talent if they don’t have to hire {blacks, homosexuals, women, damned furriners, democrats, Jews, etc}.
By saying, “Does it even matter?”, it partially legitimizes the question in the first place, when there’s absolutely no legitimacy to it at all.
For one thing, it would eliminate discrimination lawsuits which are based primarily on gaps in test scores.
It would also eliminate futile attempts to “close the gap.”

Nope. For many, they just draw comfort from being able to say their tribe is superior to another, especially when the uber tribe is a minority in their locale (so they’ve never had to deal with being discriminated against in favour of someone from the uber tribe).

Except that it isn’t, and the gap is significantly lower between blacks in the upper class and whites in the upper class. And even if you were right, that still would not be proof of genetic involvement.
