What is loathsome about you and others here is the way you respond to truth with invective. When I discovered The Straight Dope I thought it was a civilized forum where controversial issues could be discussed intelligently. It might be a bit hard to follow, as the posts from all four threads are now mingled (one might even say, miscegenated) together according to the date they were posted.

On the other hand, since all four thread were essentially exactly the same conversation, I don’t think it’s going to be too much of a stumbling block.

Any new threads on this subject while this one is still going will be closed with, if you’ll excuse the pun, extreme prejudice.
