Any predictions on best team? Most potential?
Nelson Cruz is certainly on the trading block, should you want to make a solid push for cornering the market!
I usually do a recap in SDMB leagues I’m in. I’ll work on something tomorrow. I’m not sure how to handicap the weekly aspect, but I’ll do a Best/Worst/Potential or something for the teams.
Frunklebums certainly has a corner on the 3B market. 5 hot corners?
Well, that sucked - I just finished writing up 9 summaries, and hit the wrong button. All gone. Needless to say, they were insightful and contained the secret to the meaning of life. AAAAAARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!
Well for my team I’m projecting
.281 BA, 714 R, 195 HR, 729 RBI, 165 SB
72 W, 82 S, 3.14 ERA, 1.19 WHIP, 1050 K
Of course this assumes nobody is injured the entire year and they all have career years.
I’ll have to come back at the end of the year and see how good my spreadsheet was.
Well, my projections are not as optimistic, but they also are based on actual projections from Fangraphs (average of Steamer and Zips projections):
.271 BA, 687 Runs, 185 HR, 657 RBI, 119 SB
70 W, 65 S, 3.32 ERA, 1.17 WHIP, 1018 K
Of course this is also assuming no one is injured.
My (Aesthetics) projections - also based on Fangraphs projections.
.277 BA, 685 Runs, 188 HR, 697 RBIs, 68 SB
74 Wins, 73 Saves, 3.39 ERA, 1.22 WHIP, 1012 K
Hopefully, these projections are low. I probably should have gone after more SB.
Well, that didn’t take long. Looks like Patrick Corbin may have Tommy John surgery.
Well, since it occurs in the middle of the night, it might not seem like it, but baseball season starts tonight (or technically, early in the morning). This is just a reminder to owners who have Dodger or Diamondback players that once tonight’s game starts, they will be locked into or out of your lineup until April 7th. So make any changes involving Dodgers or Diamondbacks before the game tonight.
I would like to thank everyone that participated in this league, and I would especially like to thank those that stayed with it for the entire season. I will try it again next year.
Also, congratulations to Munch on his championship. I knew there was no way I was catching him, but had hope I might improve from fourth place in the last part of the season.
