Post-draft waivers resolve sometime tomorrow - just says Sep 8, not sure about the time. Players involved in this current game should have their waiver period extended into the general weekly Thursday-Sun waiver period.
Tonight’s game isn’t a concern for me, just wondering because I’ll end up forgetting.
Thanks.
LaPorta was encouraging. Targeted five times, he caught all five for 39 yards. Early in the game he was only on the field in the red zone, but by the second half I’m pretty sure he was in on every snap except for one drive. I generally expect rookie tight ends to do nothing the first year; certainly nothing in the first game. Especially when it’s an early Thursday season opener first game. This was a promising performance. He may very well end up being Hockenson 2.0.
Regardless, I need Kelce back tout de suite.
This one hurt. I can’t imagine Hollywood will score fewer fantasy points than Moore.
For much of the first half I kept being annoyed how Mahomes kept targeting Toney instead of Moore, which made no sense to me considering how shitty Toney was playing. But then once Moore finally started getting targets, it was when Mahomes was under heavy pressure and only managed to heave it near Moore instead of throwing it to him.
Then finally, finally, Moore got a decent pass to him and ran well after the catch for a nice 15-20 yard completion, but of course HOLDING, down over.
Could be worse, though. At least I don’t have Toney.
I saw something about how Toney’s game last night was PFF’s lowest rated game by a WR since 2015. That might be giving him too much credit
Kupp on IR. I had multiple trade offers for him and I said no. I brought this on myself.
It looks like Mark Andrews won’t play this week after his mystery injury that barely got a mention earlier this week turned into something serious the night before the game. It’s the greatest injustice in human history that I would be without my TE for week one. No one has ever dealt with such injustice ever before
I was wondering if the Browns were going to give Kareem Hunt’s carries to Ford because they liked the 2 headed running attack or if they just did it because they had two special talents. Apparently the latter, because it’s all Nick Chubb all the time today. If this keeps up he’s going to have an epic season, although Jack Conklin went out with a knee injury and that hurts significantly.
Ford fumbled on like his second carry so they may have gone away from the plan.
Oh for fucks sake Dobbins looks like he tore his achilles, what a wasted career
That’s rough. Kid can’t catch a break.
But of course I’m playing against Aaron Jones in both of my leagues this week. Maybe I can match my “most points against” record from last season.
This early in the season I just decided to play projected points for my defense - Den vs LV was projected to have 10 and a half and Dallas around 6. Now Dallas is sitting on my bench with 43 points which has to be one of the top 5 all time D/ST performances. And it’s a super close game too.
David Montgomery looked like he was going to have a very productive year despite the presence of Gibbs but now I’m down 2 RBs in 2 weeks and my depth isn’t great.
Saw Jayden Reed had 2 TDs, but didn’t see the game. Did he look good?
Pitts might end up being a situational bust. I don’t doubt his talent but he won’t have a QB that can get him to ball for who knows how long. I mean, he’s young, so he’ll eventually be good, but his production is certainly a disappointment.
It’s not the quarterback. They are keeping him in to block on most plays. Arthur Smith was complaining last week that people keep bitching about how he doesn’t scheme plays to get Pitts the ball.
Another promising performance for LaPorta, targeted six times, caught 5 for 63.
Puka Nacua is the steal of my draft this year, getting him with pick 3.04. Not that he should have been drafted higher; just in terms of production. His 39.50 points after two games makes him the #3 scoring WR in the league, just ahead of Justin Jefferson.
And goddamn Daniel Jones got after it in the second half this week.
Well my top 2 (or maybe 2 of my top 3 RBs) had likely career ending injuries. This is gonna be a rough year.
What happened to Chubb?
His whole leg got destroyed in a horrific injury they wouldn’t even show on the TV broadcast. I didn’t check the updates today but it seems unlikely he’s going to be able to come back at anywhere near the level he was at.
If only he had a Hot Chubb Time Machine, he could go back and prevent the injury… I’ll see myself out.
