I was going to take Baker until I talked myself into Steele. Baker is the less risky prospect but how often do you get a decent lottery ticket at RB at the end of the 4th?

I was on the fence between Baker and Corley. I think the former will turn out to be a better real life player long term, but Corley will be a better fantasy player.

I dropped this guy to give myself a third pick but planned to pick him back up after the draft. Then when I traded down into the 5th round I justified it to myself by thinking I would just pick him back up there, no harm no foul.

I’m amazed at how many defenses and kickers were kept.
For at least a couple years, there’s been no defenses available when I looked to add one. And I don’t think I’ve rostered more than one Kicker (except bye weeks), for awhile. I also don’t see them being traded much. Me, I’d rather roster a developmental RB/WR than a 3rd defense or 2nd Kicker. YMMV
I think holding 3 defenses makes sense (we can’t all do that, with 32 defenses around). They’re the only “players” in this league that never get injured or retire or just wash out of the league. If you want to play matchups you need at least two. And unlike regular players, a defense that’s a bust this year could potentially be great in 5 years.
Kickers, eh, one is fine. There will be someone on the waiver wire for bye weeks.
We’ve got 8 picks left and I’d really like to have the draft done tonight. If you have a remaining pick please have a list of players you’d be willing to take so you can make your pick quickly.
Now’s not the time, but I was going to float the idea that we should remove defenses from the league. For the reasons you cited I just don’t think they make sense as a Dynasty construct.
Kickers could probably also be jettisoned for different reasons but that argument wouldn’t really be Dynasty specific.
I’m in agreement with dumping Ds. I like having kickers though.
I don’t want to change rules as we go, but I don’t think we can afford to wait the full 12 hours on this one since the draft has to finish up in less than 24 hours. And it’s more important to give extra time to early picks than late ones. So I’m going to say @Ol_Gaffer has another half hour to make a pick otherwise we’ll start moving on. If you guys thinks that’s unfair, feel free to object and I’ll give him the full duration.
I think we’re probably going to have to have a rapid-fire end of draft tomorrow around noon with something like a 10 minute window. I may not be able to be around, so I need a volunteer to receive PMs with pre-rank lists to make picks on other people’s behalf.
