SDMB Fantasy Football DYNASTY League: Year Eight

By the way, I’m in the market for a WR, anywhere from WR1 to WR3. I have the 5th, 12th, and 16th picks available to trade, plus of course take a look at my roster (post #76) and maybe you’ll find a good fit.

Giving me 4 picks.

I’m not sure you have enough TEs there, could be a problem for you down the line…

In a normal league I would agree, but we start both a TE and W/T so all my TEs are basically in matchup rotation with Hurns and Wright for my WR3.

I would definitely trade a TE if I got a decent offer though!

True, a team without a solid WR3 has some use for a second TE1. Although Hurns is a little more solid than I realized, 15th ranked WR last year … and of course you’ve got Brown and Beckham as your top two…

Actually, yeah, screw you and your awesome WRs – that’s supposed to be my thing!

I have a glut of high upside backup running backs, and not much depth at the QB and TE position, so I’m in the market. So make an offer on your backup today.

I also think that leaves me with only one draft pick. I better make it a good one.

I set my Keepers in Yahoo, and it looks like I’ll get four picks.

Drew Brees
Jameis Winston

WR
Alshon Jeffery
DeSean Jackson
Larry Fitzgerald
Julian Edelman
Brandon LaFell
Kenny Stills
Mike Wallace

Is there anyone in the league that prefers to not be contacted via SDMB PM for things like trades and stuff? I think I remember that a couple owners don’t check the boards much.

I never check the boards but I have email notifications set up for board PMs so PM is fine with me.

Just finished setting my keepers on Yahoo, with less than an hour to spare. Phew!

I cut the following:

  • Larry Donnell (TE-NYG)
  • Jonathan Grimes (RB-Hou)
  • De’Anthony Thomas (WR-KC)
  • Hakeem Nicks (WR-NO)
  • Both my kickers

That’s six cuts, but I think Cruz was on IR so pretty sure this leaves me with five draft picks.

Also adding to this list:
Richard Rodgers
Colin Kaepernick

I’ve updated my team’s keepers on Yahoo.

Been busy all day and didn’t get a chance to do research on my borderline prospects. I entered keepers but they’re provisional, I may submit changes tomorrow.

I entered the acquisition budgets and set up our schedule, same as in years past. For the benefit of our new guy, that schedule is: Everyone will play their first three divisional games during the first half of the season, most within the first five weeks – everyone plays a divisional game in Week 1. In Weeks 8-11 there are no divisional games: everyone hits the road. Finally, the last three weeks are entirely intra-divisional. And, as before, the final week features matchups between the top two teams in each division from last year.

I’m still waiting on one list of cuts, but that should be coming within the next couple hours. Once I have it, I’ll approve the lists on Yahoo, and set up our draft/keepers, at which point you should be able to see who’s available on Yahoo’s “Players” page. You’ll still be able to your cuts until early tomorrow, just ask me to fix it manually.
By the way, Jules, if you have any questions about rules/procedures as we go along, don’t hesitate to ask.

Will you be posting a list of cuts in the thread? I would appreciate it if you could.

Thanks! I should be all right to go. I read every past year’s thread, so I have an idea of how things work. But I’ll be sure to ask if something comes up.

Yeah, I’ll post all the cuts. The commissioner gets a nice, organized list of all the cuts & keepers to edit/approve, but as far as I can tell no one else has access to anything like that.

I’ll probably post my pick early in the evening on Sunday. Not to say that the next pick needs to push up theirs, but I’ve got something that will be taking my attention all Monday.

No problem. And as always people can PM me a pick (or a preference list) along with a time frame in which to use it.

Warner Brothers cuts:
Tre Mason
Roddy White
Bernard Pierce
Harry Douglas
Dri Archer

Here are all of our the cuts (so far). I’m including the number of draft picks everyone winds up with because every year there are a couple of people who forget the effect that IR slots can have (“I only have two draft picks? Ouch. Can I also cut…”)

Also, is Omni’s 10th Rounder the latest pick we’ve had? It’s close to it, certainly.
