SDMB Fantasy Football DYNASTY League: Year Seven

Supplimental pick 2 - Darren Sproles, RB, Phi.

I had Detroit’s defense targeted the whole time. It went with the very last pick. Damn.

Willing to trade a WR for a good defense.

So we’re done?

I’d love a free agency period (not waivers) maybe starting tomorrow morning. If waivers continues until tomorrow night, we can’t sign anyone for week 1.

Ok, we’re officially under way. Everyone’s on waivers for now, but they’ll come off of waivers on Saturday (except for players from New England and Pittsburgh; they play tomorrow night, so they won’t hit free agency until next week).

Remember that Darren Sproles and Detroit’s DEF are both already spoken for, so don’t pick either of them up.
And I think that’s it. If we’ve missed anything, if there’s anything that still needs doing or correcting, please let me know ASAP. Failing that, good luck!

It just now hit me just how battered my team is to start the season. I can barely field a roster.

Jordy Nelson - out for year, injury
Josh Gordon - out for year, drink on team flight
Martavis Bryant - out for 4 games, potsburg steelers
Jay Ajayi - out for 10 games, injury
Ryan Mathews - downgraded from servicible RB2 starter to backup
Trent Richardson - biggest bust of all time
Denard Robinson - pretty decent RB2 through second half of last year, replaced as starter

It’s a fucking disaster. I have no choice but to start backups.

Sounds like you should trade me Gronk and Rodgers and go full rebuild!

Richardson is overhyped as a bust. He was a bad running back, but not totally useless. Compare, say, JaMarcus Russell or Ryan Leaf.

ETA: I have the third highest draft grade. I assume that is based on our entire rosters rather than just this year’s picks, since Yahoo doesn’t know the difference. Maybe my optimism for this year is not misplaced

I’ll do a write-up tonight of my draft while I’m watching the game.

My season is very important to Gronk. 20 TDs.

For a minute Yahoo showed four tds for him.

Apparently, the Dynasty League is the only league where my lineup wasn’t automatically populated. Shit.

If it were put to a vote, I’d be OK with Brady getting retroactively added to your starting lineup because of course you would have started him if you had the chance.

Sunbelt division has 3 of the top 5 power rankings slots (points through end of season including playoffs).

It’s going to be some sort of injustice done to someone.

That’s exactly what happened last year. I went 9-5 and scored more points than every team in the other two divisions except Stringer, but only finished third in the division. Hell, there were only two teams in the other two divisions with winning records.

How do you get standings to format properly like Justin did?

ETA: What do you guys think of adding some type of keeper salary cap to bring things a bit closer to parity?

Agreed.

No objection here either. I guess it’s really Omni’s vote, though.

ETA: I don’t think it’s really that obvious that Brady would have been the guy. The Philly/Atlanta game has the highest over/under of the weekend and it was raining in Foxboro.

For retroactive roster changes I always let Yahoo projections determine who should have started. In this case, Brady had the higher projection.
