His bad record notwithstanding, **Stringer **is actually on a tear (120 plus points in four straight week including two over 150). He’s now fourth overall in points and only 42 points behind the three division leaders.
Well, that’s not quite true; he was a valuable asset (I think he had over 1000 yards from scrimmage) in 2013. He was already on IR when I was trying to shop him last year and I didn’t think San Diego would re-sign him.

This has turned into such a weird fucking trade. With Hopkins exploding this year you have to say RNATB got the best of it, no doubt.

That’s only because I had been trying to turn depth into stars for like three years. Almost every trade offer I made over the last three seasons was an attempt to turn some of my ridiculous RB depth* into a WR1 and/or QB1, or even a true RB1. Basically I had a whole bunch of #2/3 players and it was freakin’ impossible to set my lineups.
It sounds odd to say, but the most important part of that trade for me was actually Matt Ryan. He wasn’t a great loss to you (just as the RBs were not really valuable to me), but if I hadn’t traded for him I would be starting Nick Foles right now. Ryan is currently the #11 QB (apparently there was a stat correction since Monday?) with 140 points; Foles is #29, with 81 points.** If it wasn’t for shovel passes to Tavon Austin Foles probably wouldn’t even be in double figures. If you take away those 60 points I would still be #4 in scoring but I bet I wouldn’t be 6-2. Speaking of which, I am looking to package Foles and another player or draft pick in trade for a better QB2.
On the other hand, if you take away DeAndre Hopkins I’d be starting some combination of V-Jax, Brandin Cooks (who has mostly been my starting W/T anyway), Ty Montgomery and Marvin Jones.
…Okay, scratch that. I just added up the scoring totals for Jackson, Montgomery and Jones and combined they have only outscored Hopkins by seven points. Granted, V-Jax and Montgomery have missed a couple of games each, but still. Hopkins has outscored each of them by more than 100.
*At the end of the 2013 season, my RBs were: Giovani Bernard, Andre Ellington,
BenJarvus Green-Ellis, Mark Ingram, Rashad Jennings, Lamar Miller, Stepfan Taylor,
Robert Turbin (who at the time was Lynch’s clear handcuff), Shane Vereen and Danny Woodhead. I also drafted Devonta Freeman at the tail end of the first round last year.
