Depending on what happens here I’d be open to moving one of my picks. So if you want one, make me a (contingent) offer.
If you haven’t had any trade feelers and nothing unexpected happened in the draft, keep it moving along. If you’re in trade talks now, that’s cool. But we can’t afford to spend while days waiting by the phones.
Similarly, like I said, if you see a potential trade situation possibly coming up, put out some feelers before they get to the pick.

Here’s the full draft order for copy & paste purposes; obviously we’ll update this every handful of picks.
A small change: I seem to have missed Ellis’ actual last pick before (the one that goes to Stringer), so Stringer’s pick from Ellis comes in the 6th Round, not the 5th (though it barely makes any difference).
So Trent Richardson couldn’t make 3rd string on the Raiders. Is he the biggest bust we’ve ever had?
He was the clear #1 by far in his draft, seemed to be positioned to be one of the league’s few bell cows in a run-heavy offense, and had a lot of “best RB since AP” grades. And he turned out to be nothing at all quite rapidly.
I mean, I can’t really say trading Graham and drafting him was a huge mistake - it’s not as if it were some really out-there move that no one could understand - he was clearly by far the #1 prospect on basically everyone’s board. But damn.
To make myself feel slightly better, I re-read last year’s thread and was reminded that Varlos dropped Jordy Nelson because he was white.
TJ Yeldon, RB, Jax
So admit it, who peeked?
Pick 1.5
Ameer Abdullah (RB - DET)
Well, shit. He was the guy I was thinking of trading up to like 8 for.
I was going to after my first pick, or possibly while deciding on my first pick when I was on the clock, but it’s gone now.
I snoze I loze.
I almost can’t believe he fell to five.
Well, fuck you. And Justin. Okay, there are officially zero guys I really want now. If you want one of these picks, PM me. Otherwise I’ll make a pick at 10:30 ET.
Sorry, got busy with work. There are a whole bunch of wideouts here who are basically giant question marks. I don’t buy into the “Chip Kelly turns everything into gold” line, I don’t really think Chicago can support two stud WRs without Trestman, and I think Devante Parker will have to fight for playing time and looks in the short term. I’ve also only watched one of these players significantly in the past, and he passes my eyeball test. He’s also basically going to be the only target in Baltimore in a year’s time.
So… 1.6: Breshad Perriman, WR - Bal.
I have the same problem with my other pick; all the tailbacks I wanted are gone. I thought about taking Jameis here, but I would rather have RB depth than QB depth. This pick also makes some sense since I already have Devonta Freeman so I’ll have the Atlanta backfield wrapped up either way.
1.7: Tevin Coleman, RB - Atl
PMing Omni now.
I saw Coleman play last year for Indiana, absolutely tore up Mizzou.
Pick coming soon.
Pick 1.8 David Cobb, RB - Ten
Ellis is on the clock, sending a PM now…
Oh sweet, this will be quick. Expect my pick in the next 10 minutes or so.
Harumph. All the boards (including the actual NFL draft) indicate I’m flubbing this one, but I don’t care, I like this guy better:

Beef is on the clock, sending PM now…
I have an unexpected wealth of receivers. I was quite sure Ellis was going to take one. I’ll need some time to do some quick research on prospects I didn’t expect to fall.
the last 3 picks were all players I was sure were going to fall into the next round, and specifically to me. Damn.
Never underestimate the passion for a lottery ticket rookie runningback. Whether it was Montee Ball, Gio Bernard, Joseph Randle, Christine Michael and Marcus Lattimore in 2013 or David Wilson, Doug Martin, or Isiah Pead the year before, there will always be room for rookie runningbacks. They can’t all be LeVeon Bell and Eddie Lacy.
Montee Ball was a first round pick tied to the best offense in the league. Not exactly a lottery ticket. But yeah, RBs are more valuable in our drafts than perhaps mathematically justified.
