SDMB Fantasy Football DYNASTY league: Year Ten

I can’t field a team this week. On bye or injured: Chubb, Crowell, Josh Gordon, Jordy Nelson, Chris Thompson, Terelle Pryor, Antonio Callaway. I can’t fill my RB2 slot and my WR slot already has random scrubs I picked up.

Same here, and I’m your opponent. I had to sign two different scrub free agents this week just to be warm bodies.

I had something around an 86% projected win against Ellis at one point, until Ben decided to go from -2 to 23 in a quarter. I’m still in it, with about a 1 in 3 chance to hold up.

It’s funny to see how many projected points are left still to be scored, since two powerhouse offenses are playing tomorrow.

Jules beating Great Old Ones and Hamlet winning will make for a tied record in the midwest division. It looks like it’ll be a tight race for the wildcard too between whoever doesn’t win the midwest and southwest divisions.

Looking at the league page, as of the start of this week, nobody in the Northeast Corridor had a losing record: 7-3, 5-5, 5-5, 5-5.

And every single team in the Midwest division has more total points than the highest scorer in the NE Corridor. And the NE Corridor have 4 out of the top 6 teams with the lowest points against totals.

Fantasy football is weird.

If the division is scoring less, then of course they’re facing less scoring because of divisional games.

If you remove divisional games, at the start of this week the Northeast Corridor had the best record, but only by 1, and I believe that’s changing this week.

I’m going to need a monster game from Todd Gurley tonight to squeeze out a win.

Has there ever been a tie in this league? I had one two years ago in my money league, but the scoring was ESPN standard PPR scoring, so that’s more likely to happen than with the scoring format in this league.

Starting next season I’d like to remove the penalty for missed extra points. That rule was put in place when they were automatic, but they aren’t anymore.

EDIT: Actually, we have penalties for any missed kick up to 39 yards. Since a PAT is now a 32(?) yard FG, switch the PAT to the same as a missed 30-39 yarder. That would mean switch it from -2 to -1.

Seconded. The penalty for a missed PAT seems way out of whack when compared to how often it happens now.

IIRC we tried to make kickers slightly more interesting by boosting their scoring for successful kicks but adding penalties for missed ones. In retrospect, I’d rather have kickers score less overall so I’d be fine with reverting to default kicker scoring (or removing them entirely).

Other than winning the league, my only goal is to crush your dreams. The wild card is suddenly interesting though.

Is this the first year for Thanksgiving byes? Seems awfully late in the season for a week that’s stretched thin on Sunday with the 3 Thanksgiving day games.

Do the 3 leagues where I was top score this week!

Not as good a week for me. Petey got his first win of the season against me this week. I got 2 points out of Howard Jordon and 0 out of Evan Engram, so thanks for that Jules.

Speaking of Jules, be prepared for his face to flap significantly.

Sorry about that! All we can do is trade again until we get better at it.

Nah, that won’t happen until Christmas, if at all. Too much can go wrong, and it often does.

This weekend’s pattycake win over **dale **finally clinched my playoff spot. Until now I was kind of hoping to avoid the #1 seed, because I didn’t want to play dale again. But Jules’ team is suddenly looking kind of scary, and dale is no longer even a lock for the wildcard. In practical terms, it looks like I’d have to lose both remaining games to drop from the #1 seed, so I guess I’ll stick with it.

EDIT: In other news, Tyreek Hill is still the #1 WR in this format… by over 20 points! Nuk Hopkins has come back to earth a bit, but I still have the overall WR1 and WR7.

Fucking Lamar Miller! And the stupid late bye for the Rams meant I didn’t have Gurley.

God, I’m sick of these Mexico and London games.
