SDMB FF Dynasty League: Year Five

IR kicks in at the start of the season, you have to drop previously IRed player during cuts. Since the draft and the NFL deadline for preseason IR and PUP won’t coincide most years it’s not really something that will be fair. Why would you deserve a extra pick for Harris being IRed today if someone else has a player who gets IRed tomorrow?

We postponed the draft so you had the opportunity to drop Harris when he was injured and get a pick but you didn’t, thems the breaks.

I just figured the whole “week 3 injury” thing would include actually finding out the extent of the injury and whether it was season ending rather than forcing an owner to drop a guy the second he goes down.

It’s not really a big deal, because my draft pick would be after everyone but RNATB was done. And believe me, I’m well aware of how the breaks don’t always go my way.

Any feelings on the IR/PUP issue?

Speaking of which, if somebody wants to trade me a serviceable QB1 I am willing to give up a lot.

I just got home from work, let me ditch my kids and I’ll make my pick here in about an hour.

Yeah, can’t put someone on IR before/during the draft. Sorry. If you want we can talk about making that possible next offseason.

As for how injured someone has to be to go on IR, I think it’s pretty flexible. IIRC anyone who’s out can be put on IR. Anyway I hope that’s the case. I don’t have a kicker, gonna have to pick one up after I put Crabtree on IR after the draft.

In Yahoo they have to be on real IR to put them in the IR slot.

2.4) Knile Davis, RB KC

Damn, I liked him, was pretty sure he’d still be around for my pick.

Trade bait for Hamlet for sure.

2.5: Johnathan Franklin, RB, GB

Shit!

Shit!

Alright, this could take awhile.

Alright, I wasn’t looking for a WR, but he seems to be the best option currently on the board. I pick…

Kenny Stills (WR, NO)

If anyone is looking to obtain a young WR (and/or a third round pick) and has a RB to trade, let me know.

Anyone PM Varlos?

I send him daily death threats to trade Calvin Johnson to me, so he may not look at them.

I know I’m up, sort of in half-hearted discussions.

We’re making excellent time so far. Probably I’ll pick soon, but might wait until the overnight.

(I’m on vacation with the family in Atlantic City, stuck on my phone, sorry my prose lacks its usual flowery quality.)

I’ll get mine in tonight if it impacts your decision at all.

Talking to someone about this pick, and also actively debating among 3 potential draftees. If anyone wants this pick I’m still interested in picks from next year.
