Ah, okay.
We’ll see. It’s entirely possible that he becomes a focal point of a potent NE offense for several years running a la Darren Sproles (hence his trade value in the first place), but no Patriots RB has put up more than one good fantasy season since Correy Dillon. IMO it’s a total crapshoot what happens with Vereen and Ridley (to say nothing of the 6 other RBs Belichick will bring in during the offseason).
I had all bad matchups this week but I’m going to end up with 160+. I guess it’s appropriate for the tough season I had, during the last week I had to beat what will be either the 2nd or 3rd highest score. If I end up losing tonight, it will be the greatest of bullshit. But yeah, this is the highest points against season in the history of our league.
Next week has better matchups. Thomas vs SD, 3rd worst against WRs. McCoy at Minnesota, 2nd worst against RBs. Patterson against Philly, worst against WRs. Some other top 10 matchups. Gronk would’ve murdered Miami, ah well. Hope his career isn’t over. Who’d have thought that the Trent Richardson for Jimmy Graham trade would’ve hurt me so badly?
Hope I get Rodgers back. At Dallas is pretty much the best matchup there is.
I’m kind of tempted to drop players for next season tonight or tomorrow or whenever the rosters unlock, assuming they do at all for those who missed the playoffs.
I have definite thoughts about who I want to drop (and thus how many draft picks I get) but no chance I’ll remember, or even be confident in notes six months from now if I just write them down.
I can’t wait till you win it all.
You could always post it in the thread. It’s not like any of us could do anything with the information and it might even spur some trade offers.
And congratulate him on his Points crown even though the regular season isn’t over yet.
Can we make trades that don’t actually go through until after the season? I’ve been in negotiations with a few people and I want to just a deal or two done. I understand not wanting to affect the playoff/non playoff balance thing, but can we make agreements to trade now and not actually have them go through until after the season ends? I can’t see any objection to that, but I want to get confirmation before I try to nail down some deals.
And I don’t know what you guys are making fun of me for. I said “if I win” and “if Justin doesn’t score 50 more points”, I wasn’t saying those things would happen. I did win, and Justin did score enough points to retain the points lead. Justin gets both the actual standings lead at 11-3 and the point lead at 1876. I’m second in points at 1852.

Rosters don’t lock for non-playoff teams. I really don’t think it would be advisable to drop players now, though, unless you want to make room for some FA you think is a better bet. You never know, sometimes a guy’s situation changes for the better between December and August.
I guess so. Unless someone has an objection, you could do that now but not after the NFL Playoffs, at the latest.

Why couldn’t it be done after the playoffs? No trading in the offseason? People can stay subscribed to the thread, and the odds we’ll have a trade objection are pretty slim.
It’s all in good fun.
Yahoo currently lists Isotopes as being in the playoffs instead of me. Is it a glitch, or am I missing something?
We’re both 9-5. My division record is 5-1, his is 4-2. That’s the tiebreaker, right? My score is higher. Yahoo better be in some sort of weird half-updated glitch right now.
It’s break time, no one’s paying attention – I know I sometimes disappear from the boards for months at a time in the offseason. It’s not so much about only having a few people to weigh in on any issues that come up (though that is potentially a problem), but more about people showing up in August and finding things not as they left them. If nothing else it’s more fun if we’re all present for these things.
There’s nothing to stop you from having discussions or reaching agreements in principal, but as far as getting those agreements notarized and enforced in May, I think the store is gonna be closed.
If everyone feels otherwise I can go along, of course.
Between like 2 AM and 7 AM after the Monday night game, Yahoo basically shuts down to tabulate everything. To do this, they reset the scores from the Monday night game so they don’t count and this causes the front-end to display weird things. For example, right now the Standings page has already flipped over to Playoff mode even though the scores from yesterday haven’t yesterday haven’t been finalized yet, so Petey’s 9-4 record is considered better than your 8-5 record.
It happens every week and is always resolved by morning.
Teddy Bridgewater!

Never!
It’s nothin personal. I am just looking forward to spending your first round pick.
