Ok, the Jermichael Finley <–> Roy Helu Jr. trade is processed.
Oddly, Yahoo won’t let the commish force-drop a player taking up an IR slot, but it will let me move the player from IR to the bench, and then drop him. Whatever.

I’ll just put this here, in case I don’t get back any other time today…
Yay, I won! Now to face Varlos in the playoffs!
OR
Damn, I lost. Now to face Varlos in the playoffs!
Such shitty match ups for such an important game. All my match ups are orange or red, lots of red, except Fitzpatrick. In particular the pats are good at shutting down #1 receivers, I don’t expect much from Gordon especially with Campbell.
When are we going to open up trades again? After the fantasy playoffs or perhaps the NFL draft?
I’ve got two first round picks as well as two second round picks, so I’ll probably be looking to move at least one of those picks.
The projected finish for Petey and I keeps going back and forth 5 points in either direction. If I lose this one I’m going to find varlos ill and bite him.
Around the time next year’s SDMB thread is posted (so, probably 5 or 6 weeks before the start of the 2014 NFL season).
I don’t know, it’s supposed to be a good draft. I’d love to have two 1st Rounders to keep.
No reason trading shouldn’t reopen after the end of week 16. Might be some action since things will still be on our minds.
Yeah, I suppose. I just don’t like the idea of trades in the dead of April when there’s no quorum.
Josh Gordon, league MVP.
Gronk is fucked but otherwise looks good for the playoffs.
I think we could have off season trades after the fantasy playoffs and allow a very long time for review since there is no reason they would need to be rushed through. I imagine most of us subscribe to this thread and I certainly plan to be back to this league next year unless I"m dead or in prison, neither of which I anticipate happening
Damn, talk about ending my season with a whimper. Screwed up with Reggie Bush, who wasn’t a scratch until just before kickoff, after I’d already done my roster check, and with the Eagles kicker, who played in a now storm and wasn’t even allowed to attempt PATs.
Jesus, I’m actually in danger of missing the playoffs, which seemed nigh-impossible. If Dez Bryant has a huge game (like, 40 points), Beef’s kicker puts up 15-ish (so that **Beef **still wins his game and therefore his division), and I don’t get anything from Greg Olsen, **Petey **will leapfrog me by making up a 100-point deficit in one week. A longshot, of course, but it’s a lot more plausible than it was this morning.
Sigh. If nothing else, I’m ticked because I was the only team to score at least 100 points in every game this season until now. I also wanted to hit 10 wins, which probably isn’t happening either.
If Justin’s remaining players don’t out score Bailey by 50, I will have the most points going into the playoffs.
My optimal lineup this week is 204 without a kicker.

**VarlosZ **gets:
2013 2nd Round pick, 20th overall [RB Zac Stacy]

**dalej42 **gets:

Big year for trades! Twice as many as last year – five of them include picks from next year, so that’s largely where the increase is coming from.
Trades per team:
6 – dalej42
5 – VarlosZ
5 – RNATB
2 – SenorBeef
2 – Stringer
2 – Justin Bailey
1 – Omniscient
1 – Ellis Dee
… and four teams are no fun.
Really digging all my trades this year except Tate for Turbin/Baldwin. I think I kind of raped you on the Bush for Vereen/Ingram one though.
I’m still looking to move a young running back or two for a stud wideout. Everyone but Vereen and Gio Bernard is available.
Nah, you did ok, but I think you need *both *of those guys to turn into something in order to really win the trade, and it’s not all that unlikely that neither does.
(If *one *of them turns into a Reggie Bush-caliber starter for a few years, call it a draw that benefits both of us. I’d be fairly shocked if either had like an 6-year run as a viable fantasy starter.)
Only if Forte, Alshon Jeffery, and Witten all underperform. With Dallas fighting for a playoff spot, I don’t think that’s going to happen.
But damn Beef, you had an insane Points Against this year. Congrats on your likely playoff spot.
I’m confused. Did our trade deadline pass? I thought we’d agreed we weren’t going to have one or something.
Vereen is already outperforming Bush on a per-game basis. They’ve both played four games since their byes (not including Bush’s miss this week). Bush has scored 13, 4, 12 and 25. Vereen has scored 11, 13, 16 and 28.
Yeah, New England’s rushing attack is always a headache, but he’s averaging more than 10 targets per game. Any rushing production is basically gravy.
I think we all agreed that the final week would be the deadline. Basically, no trading in the playoffs.
