SDMB FF Dynasty League: Year Four

Hill is just what I want in a second round dynasty pick. Boom or bust, I can afford to give him some time. As much upside as anyone.

Also, we should do drafts like this from now on. This has been good.

**Pick 2.11 **

Juron Criner, WR OAK

SenorBeef is up.

Agreed, Beef. I’ve got one potential trade pending, I had a very interesting offer that I reluctantly declined (for now), I completed a deal that evolved from draft pick trading to a player-for-player swap, and because there’s time to think and negotiate it’s possible (necessary?) to approach one’s picks strategically (can I slide back and still get my guy? What’s the value of moving up a dozen picks in the middle rounds? Etc.) instead of simply taking the player you want the most. I kinda feel bad for the folks who are too busy with real life to delve in fully (priorities, people!), and hopefully next year, with a little more lead time and experience, that will be a smaller issue.

I like it best because I can’t make any of the live draft times this year, and this setup allows me to fully participate without having to make a set time.

Draft Results page is updated, and I went ahead and executed the Blackmon/Williams trade.

Josh Gordon. WR. Browns

Sorry Varlos. Maybe we can still work something out. BBL.

Do I have the next pick then?

I believe so.

Assuming I’m up next, Warner’s Brothers will take Chris Rainey, RB Pittsburgh.

    • Warner’s Brothers (dalej42) trades Andy Dalton, QB, Cincinnati to The Gusterrhoids (Justin_Bailey) for Ryan Williams, RB, Arizona
[sup]1[/sup] - Exploding Pancakes (SenorBeef) trades Jimmy Graham, TE, Saints to Warner’s Brothers (dalej42) for a 1st round pick (1.1 - Trent Richardson, RB, Cleveland)

[sup]3[/sup] - Exploding Pancakes (SenorBeef) trades LeGarrett Blount, RB, Tampa Bay to Nine Inch Neils (RNATB) for a 2nd round pick (2.7 - Stephen Hill, WR, NY Jets)

And, selecting the first non-rookie of this draft I’m taking** Danny Amendola, WR, St. Louis**.

I’m in the break after the 4th round of my live draft (Drew Brees, Darren McFadden, Roddy White, Trent Richardson thankuverymuch) and not yet drunk off my ass. Although this pick may make you think otherwise, I’m drafting: Bilal Powell, RB, NY Jets. I’m not happy passing on better players out of desperation, but I really need young RB talent.

I owned Powell a lot of last year and now suddenly he looks like he has a future. Not sure why I dropped him. :frowning:

That’s why I went with Hillman instead of Fleener in the second. Had to come away with something at RB.

Did anyone PM Ellis? On a phone or else I’d do it.

Early word out of Jets camp was that Joe McKnight had a lock on the #2 spot.

Maybe its early but I declare myself the winner of the draft.

I’m back, incidentally. Didn’t get too hammered during my birthday celebration.
