Well that was closer than I would’ve liked, but I’m now 7-2, tied with Stringer, 20 points behind him.
Catching up to the #1 seed.

Hey, I actually put up 110+ points and got a win.
This week sucks for me. Packers and Browns on bye. No Rodgers, Richardson, Nelson, James Fucking Jones, or Gordon. That’s the majority of my non-kicker starters.
Not only that, but I only have 2 quarterbacks, and they have the same bye week. I had to pick up Matt Cassel off the scrap heap, and he’s going to be playing at Pittsburgh which has to be the worst QB matchup of the week.
Just as I was gaining ground and threatning to take over the number 1 seed, I get the worst week of the year.
Also, I’m depressed over dropping Braylon Edwards. I finally have to come to terms with that whole… thing.
Blaine Gabbert, Ryan Fitzpatrick, or John “The Man” Skelton are up for trade if you’re interested. Try not to hurt yourself offering me too much.
I actually gave it some consideration even though I don’t like any of those guys and wouldn’t start them except for this one game, which is a silly reason for a dynasty league game. On the other hand, I want that #1 seed and I probably need to win out to have a chance. And this bye week is absolutely murdering me.
Rodgers -> Cassel
Trent Richardson -> Darryl Richardson
Jordy Nelson, James Fucking Jones -> Lance Moore, Davone Bess
I can barely field a competant team.
I have a projected lead despite this, would be great to squeak one out here.
Having depth is an important part of this league.
Anyone else having problems with Yahoo statracker live scoring today? Keeps telling me to sign in, even though I’m already signed into Yahoo. Other times, just get a blank white screen.
Yahoo is having major problems today. Took me 15 minutes to get into one of my teams to make a last second change.
Games like today are why I traded the #1 pick for Graham.
The Android app just shows me blank lineups and I can’t log in to the web version at all.
I haven’t been able to set any of my lineups today. Glad to see I’m not the only one. How are we going to deal with this?
Well, we can talk about it, but my first thought is this: if you tell me that you couldn’t set your roster, I’ll be happy to retro-fix anything you want so long as the players’ start-percentages suggest that the switch is likely. So, in Omni’s case, for instance, I’m happy to swap out Philip Tanner at RB (started 0%), but you’re gonna have to live with DeAngelo Williams (16%) instead of Ronnie Hillman (1%), even though Hillman scored 6.1 more points. You can have Kyle Rudolph (22%) instead of Dwayne Allen (11%). But you’re stuck with the Detroit DEF’s -3 today, since they were started 34% to KC’s 2%. You’d need to wow me with some logic if you want to slide Andrew Luck (50%) and his 19.45 in at QB for Roethlisberger (58%), who plays tomorrow – Roethlisberger is at home with an apparently more favorable matchup, and the two have basically identical points per game.
And of course I’d ask everyone not to game the system: if you’re pretty sure you wouldn’t have made a change that turned out to work in your favor, don’t ask for it.
I’m also not sure what to do about seemingly obvious changes that hurt scores. Again using Omni as an example, do I insist he starts Wes Welker (88%, 10.4 points) instead of Cecil Shorts (14%, 19.5 points)? I’m inclined not to, I think, but everyone is encouraged to be honest about that sort of thing.
Sounds reasonable.
My pathetic team was started correctly last night, not that it much matters either way.
I think that sounds fair. Now let’s see, what kind of tale can I tell to slide the CIN defense (4%, 20 points) in for the G-Men (78%, -2 points)… A win would help because otherwise the top of the Northeast division will be a mess after tonight.
Varlos and I will both be sitting at 6-4 for sure. And after tonight, he’ll take the Points For lead. Meanwhile, furt should pull out the win against Beef, making him 6-4 as well.
The rest of the season is going to be interesting.
I’m not out of it yet. I’m probably more than a 2:1 underdog, but I have a 6 point lead and Cassel still to play against Wallace, McCluster, and Redman.
Some garbage TDs for Cassel could get me over the edge. Probably not though.
Also, fuck kickers again.
I was going to put Anquan Boldin in once I found out Owen Daniels was out, but it wouldn’t have made any difference and it might cost me a draft spot so don’t worry about it.
Like the bell ringing to Pavlov’s dog, I’m preparing myself for another one of my typical weeks. I have a 15.2 point lead, going into tonight’s games with Dwayne Bowe and Heath Miller going against me. It is completely possible (dare I say likely) that I will, once again, put up a top 4 score, but lose when my opponent scores the most they have all season.
I fucking hate this league.
FWIW Hamlet, you’re 6th in the league in points against and I’m 2nd i (Warner’s Brothers has had the worst luck) but I’m still contending for the #1 seed.
Cause I’m baller like that.
Points Against are distributed pretty evenly this year.
