SDMB Modern Diplomacy Game *players only please*

If the alliance remains then there really isn’t much point in going on with the game. It would be as Tries pointed out a waste of time.

Playing Diplomacy without the threat of someone stabbing you “because there can be only one” removes the essence of what this game is all about.

Cool beans. So do you guys surrender?

If I was still in the game, I would have no issue with a long-term 2 player alliance-they reaped the benefits from it and divided and conquered their opponents, more power to them. I would have a problem with them declaring victory while both are short of the required # of centers for a solo and are demanding that everyone else capitulate to them so they can share in a “2 way draw.” Talk is cheap, if you think you can win, just go out and do it-IMHO it is still possible for the other powers to get their crap together and stop them, but even this past turn I noticed some squabbling between them here and there (and the chronic civil disorders don’t help).

I haven’t demanded that. I’ve expressed a willingness to play.

My “So do you surrender?” posts have been in response to “This is bullshit!” and “There isn’t much of a point in playing” type posts.

Thanks,

Apologies to all - there will be a 24 hour extension. To Sept. 15, 7 AM Pacific Time

I think I’m setting the deadlines too close together, sorry about that.

I just realized I’ve come in to work without running the turn.

I have orders from everyone  and I’ll see if I can’t run the turn at lunchtime or early afternoon. Sorry all, my morning’s a bit busy.

Thank you wevets. We appreciate your work for this game.
