We need a retreat order from Russia for the unit in Belorussia.

Due by 9 AM Pacific Time, Saturday May 28th.
… and do people find the moves map also useful? I’ll put that up too if you do.

Wevets, please review my email containing my orders. A move was recieved (and confirmed) for the Izm fleet.

You are correct:

Turkey: F Izmir -> Aegean Sea
My mistake - thanks for the fast catch

Thanks for the quick correction. We appreciate your work, commissioner!

Here’s the corrected Results Map: Cheers!

A Belorussia - Moscow

No need, post the new map and let’s move on…

Thanks for the rapid turnaround, grimpixie:

Updated map here

Russia:
Army Belorussia retreats to Moscow
Next Turn Due:

Saturday, June 4, at 10 PM Pacific Time, June 5 at 1 AM Eastern Time, June 5 8 AM SAST
(we have a player going out of town for a week and chances are a number of players in the United States will be busy over the Memorial Day weekend)

Hmm. My Droid phone doesn’t seem to like the image links. I think the mobile version of Google Docs is to blame. Can somebody post the moves and results to imgur or something?

1996 Spring post-retreat map in Flickr here. Will that help?

The flickr link works on my mobile, but the googleapps one doesn’t. Sorry to put you through so much trouble wevets, but would you mind doing a googledocs and a flickr for each phase?

Fantastic, I was going to suggest we delay the next turn to enjoy the holiday.

This delay suits me as well - I will be having an operation on the 31st, so will be incommunicado until the 2nd at least.

Good luck grimpixie.

Can I have Moscow if you don’t make it?

All kidding aside, good luck. What’s the operation, if you don’t mind sharing?

Moscow will become Spanish as per the terms of a prior agreement lodged with the appropriate authorities…

I’m having laproscopic surgery on my hiatus hernia to combat chronic gastro-oesophageal reflux.

Translation: They’re tightening the valve at the top of my stomach to prevent acid from coming through and corroding my throat (and causing constant and rather painfull heartburn).

I’ll be in hospital two nights and then off work for a week or two, but should be OK in time to submit some moves before the 4th. I’ll be on a liquid diet for a couple of months at least, which I am NOT looking forward to!! On the plus side, I will lose a good deal of weight because I will be eating so slowly.

Grim

Good luck, Grim. Have a fast recovery. The few times I’ve had heartburn in my life were miserable, and I can’t really imagine living with it constantly.

Best wishes for a rapid and complete recovery from surgery, grim. We’re all pulling for you!

In case anyone didn’t receive the wevets’ email, Fall 1996 has been extended - grim’s surgical recovery time is a little longer than originally expected:
June 8th 10 PM Pacific Time, June 9th 1 AM Eastern, June 9th 8 AM SAST
Many thanks, fubbleskag - I was just about to post something similar.

Let’s hope grimpixie pulls through the surgery well!
