is there anyone here on Reddit? i’ve recently taken over /r/sdmb and i’m wondering what to do with it. there’s no need for yet another forum but i was thinking perhaps it could be used for user-voted thread (or post) spotting? i’ve been spending less time here but it would be nice to not miss out on the best the sdmb has to offer.
there has been plenty of quality posts over the years but the only one that comes to mind is the horror of the blimps. what are the other ones, past and present?

The story threads are entertaining and all but I don’t really feel that they’re what this board is about. I feel the true essence of this board is when people ask questions and other people give them good answers. It’s prosaic but it’s what gives this board its meaning.
yes, GQ is the backbone of the boards after all. perhaps particularly good answers could be highlighted this way? otherwise, they’re lost in the archives unless someone happens to google the exact same question. as it is nothing particular comes to mind except a couple of crazy song id feats.
i’ll go ahead and add threads for the suggestions so far, feel free to add more yourselves if you want.
