I cant play any instruments, but can sing well.
I opened the door, and look who I found. Damn I’m good

I played trumpet from 7th grade until I graduated college. I still play it here and there (although it has been a while). I’ve sung in choruses since my senior year of high school. I’m a baritone with a range of F (below staff - base clef) to F above middle C. If the music demands it, I’m able to expand this range a little bit with some practice.

I played the clarinet for about a year until switching to bassoon. If you don’t know what a bassoon is it’s about 5 feet tall, with a curvy thin metal thing sticking out of it (I’m great at descriptions, huh?) I’ve been told it looks like a giant bong on a few occasions.
The one, the only, the amazing.
I play bass trombone, and I’d have to say that’s my favorite instrument. I play euphonium a bit, and I’ll be playing euphonium bugle in a drum corps this summer. (Check out their web site at www.glassmen.org ) On the off chance I get some more time, I’ll work some more at playing tuba. I also play a bit of piano. I’m in my high school band. I’d give you the web page address to that, but I can’t remember it and I don’t think it’s been updated in months.

I played flute for 5 years. It’s been a while, since I played, but I’m sure it would all come back if I practiced. And I’m currently taking piano lessons. I can sing too…probably in the baritone range.

I played the alto and tenor sax when I was in junior high school. I haven’t played in years but I do remember my scales.
I also sang soprano in the choir at school and church.
My brother is the talented musician in my family. I’m thinking of asking him to teach me to play the guitar.

Played violin since 4th or 5th grade but haven’t picked it up since after high school, really. I think I enjoyed being in the pit for the musicals the best. What a geeky little clique we were! A handful of us were also in a little chamber music groupette that went around and played at the teacher’s retirements, Madrigal Dinner, and some functions for the Elks. For these we used these cheesy quasi-popular music songbooks. Our conductor would have quick rehearsals with us and ok some and veto others. I remember one he nixed was a horrible muzak-ey rendition of “Please, release me” with whining violins and monotonous pizzicato cello line. One function we were at dragged on and on and since we’d already played every other song like 3 times, we decided to risk the wrath of the orchastra teacher enjoying his meal. It (along with an even worse arrangement of that “Doe, a deer” song) ended up being the hit of the evening – ugh!

I’ve played piano for the last 13 years. Haven’t had a chance to play much since the baby’s arrival, but did manage to do some Christmas carols last night.

If you’re not part of the solution you’re just scumming up the bottom of the beaker.
Bass guitar, myself.
It’s almost as tough as playing classical guitar, except that you only have to play one-sixth of the notes, and at one-fourth of the speed. Real tough.

Die, Prentiss, Die! You will never have a more glorious opportunity!
Zils, also tambourine (like thats hard)
If we’re putting together a pop band - I’ll be the go-go dancer
I played drums and percussion for 25 years; almost (but not quite) made a living at it for awhile (early 70’s). Electric bass was an also ran for a year or so. I quit playing nine years ago, but I retain manny fond and frustrating memories.
I still have the bass and a couple of kits and a variety of little things you can beat, tap, ring, rub and shake.
Baritone Sax for 6 years. Went to state solo and came in third. But that was long, long ago(just weeks after we left the campus Chas. Whitman invaded the tower we had visited and started shooting people).
I am teaching myself to play ocarina, but I don’t have what you’d call “musical talent”. I’ll join the orchestra, but I can only play songs in the key of “no-sharps-or-flats” or the key of “only-one-flat-on-the-middle-line”. (I don’t understand “keys” at all.)

I can actually play the clarinet fairly well, but I haven’t taken lessons in years.
I played keyboard percussion (xylophone, marimba, vibraphone) through grade school and high school. Was pretty good by senior year, but haven’t played since June. Thinking about picking it up again in college. Also do a little drum work, mostly auxiliary stuff; congas, bongos, anything you can play with your hands or mathed grip, as my traditional grip is about nonexistent.
I’ve also been known to occasionaly growl out the vocals to a Metallica tune or too for my friends’ garage bands, but that may not qualify for an orchestra (although with the new album they put out, you never know…)
I have been playing guitar for the last 13 years, but I got kind of bored with it a few years ago and started playing drums (which I now play in a band). I can also (like any guitarist) play bass.
Gee, we haven’t heard from Ukulele Ike in awhile . . . but in addition to his many other instruments, I can testify that he plays the field.
Good one, Eve!
I do!
Seriously, the man melts me like butter.
I sing. Classical and musical theatre mostly. Been studying for 5 1/2 years and counting. Used to be able to not embarrass myself too badly on the piano, but Im sorely out of practice. I can still plunk out my melodies though. I play the soprano recorder off and on.
Where are we going and what am I doing in this handbasket?
Trumpet, though my lip is several years out of practice.
Drums, though I was never very good.
Voice, ranging from mid-baritone to mid-tenor.
