THQ Humble bundle with the COH games, dawn of war games, space marine. If a bunch of people got COH2, I’d try to organize one of those goofy 4v4 sort of games we played with COH1 a few years back where we mostly fired crazy amounts of artillery at each other.
Chivalry: Medieval Warfare is something we still play a few times a month, great game, only $5 this weekend.
I don’t normally mention humble bundles, but among other things, the current humble bundle has Screencheat which I think would be a lot of fun to get together and play. Basically, it’s set up like split-screen multiplayer like on a console - you see everyone else’s perspective. And everyone is invisible. So the only way to find people and kill them is to look at their screen and figure out where they are based on what they see. And the weapons are silly and it really plays up the ridiculousness of it. It’s really original and looks fun.
Anyway, $6 gets you that, Endless space, Stanley parable, and a bunch of other games. Ends in about 36 hours.
Is anyone playing Wreckfest anymore? I picked it up on a weekend Steam sale, and have been enjoying it.
Wreckfest kind of lost momentum after they took way too long to release the big overhaul. The game population hasn’t recovered. And the initial state of the game after the overhaul was apparently not so great. But they’ve fixed it some since then so I’d like to get it going again sometime.
Tonight we’re having a little LAN party here and we’re going to be playing some old games that some of the old crappy computers can run. If anyone is interested, join us for Half-life 2 deathmatch (toilet flinging), company of heroes (we have lots of incompetant people and fling a lot of artillery), maybe M&B warband. I’ve been playing Rocket League the last couple of weeks and it’s super fun. You can also grab it for the next few hours off greenmangaming as per these instructions if you want it. They give a steam key. It’s worth full price, so almost half off is the best deal you’ll get for a while. If it looks interesting at all to you, grab it.

I’ve been thinking about getting back into Battlefield 4. They released a ton of content and there are still a lot of people playing it. And obviously it’s in much better shape than it was when we used to play it.
Origin has the premium edition (all content) for $20. If anyone wants to start playing, contact me and I’ll see if we can run a squad sometime.

I was wrong about the Origin sale. I thought I saw that it ended on the 27th, but it’s still going, not sure how long.
6 of us have been playing Battlefield 4 the last few nights and it’s actually really good now. Very smooth, very well optimized, no serious glitches for me. It went from kind of a mess to probably the best ever shooter of its kind. Highly recommend it.
