I think your theory is wrong. I’m not gonna get into an endless back-and-forth with you, but your imagination about why people criticized Lance does not come across as plausible.
Dude, you may not realize this, but you STILL came across as condescending. If that wasn’t your intent, you need to pay much closer attention to how you’re coming across.
You can respond to that surprise in two ways:
You can adjust your respect for me;
You can think, “Well, if someone I respect is telling me this, maybe I should pay attention.”
Up to you. My advice is, don’t be so confident in your reading of other poster’s motivations and comprehension, read a lot more than you type, and conclude that your corrections of other folks’ behavior is not productive.
If you don’t want to take my advice, spiffy keen; as I said, I’m not interested in a back-and-forth.
