Same here. A lot of my work involves sending an email then waiting for a response, so I send then Dope, then receive then Dope, then reply then Dope. All day long.
I got so used to the routine that when I’m in the middle of programming and on a roll and not waiting for email, I still stop to read the Dope so I can better continue programming.
I tend to go through my SDMB routine once or twice a day although not every day. First, I browse my own posting history for any followups, then generally browse General Questions, Cafe Society, Game Room, In My Humble Opinion, and Mundane Pointless Stuff in that order.
I generally don’t view the political boards or pit because they’re mainly for people who want to score points debating with strangers online. I used to be into that about a dozen years ago when I first started visiting online chat rooms, but I don’t care for it now.
Nowhere near as much time as I used to. I spend FAR more time on Facebook (where I probably make the longest posts on a daily basis of anybody, but my Friends and Followers seem to like it). I like to “see” who I’m conversing with. Plus it gives me an opportunity to say I have “followers” and not just be off my meds.
