SDMB Self Esteem

Thank you, Totoro… much appreciated

My list of specific posters is made up of only two people, cause I haven’t been here too long and cause I don’t post much, but I love all of you a lot… people as funny and nice and intelligent as you all are very hard to come by ::cheesy smile here::

Ok, so here’s my “list”:

Jester (in a strictly non-stalkerish way ;)): cause his posts almost always make me laugh and cause he reminds me a lot of this certain person…

and

Totoro: cause he likes Calvin and Hobbes too and cause nothing’s cooler than putting your name into the search engine and actually having something come up! And cause he started the Calvinball game. It made me laugh

Nocture, I’m tellin’ ya babe, it’s fate. This is just what I needed to hear. Thank you. I think you’re pretty darn awesome yourself. It’s so on on March 10th.

Serendipity. Jessica, what can I say that wouldn’t be the biggest understatement I’ve ever made? I couldn’t ask for a better friend, and even if I never see it, I love your smile.

Then there’s just so many other people that I love here on the boards. Too many to list really and I wouldn’t even try or know where to begin. You know who you are, and you should also know that I love you dearly and keep you close to my heart. If there’s ever anything I can do for any of you, you should never hesitate to call on me. And if you ever need a little extra music in your life, well, I’m there for that too. There’s not much else I can say or do but boost all of your collective self-esteems by telling you that you all rock the house!

Nocturne, then I go and spell your nickname wrong. Boy, do I feel like a jerk. Sorry. :frowning:

SpiderWoman - for her caring remarks about how people handle deaths in the family. I was a newbie at the time and she made me feel very glad to be here.

And countless others who make me laugh, and cry, and feel.

I love you guys.

I think Just A Girl rules because she still makes “your mom!” jokes. I haven’t gotten over those yet, either.

This was a great idea and I’d like to say thanks to all of you! This community is a wonderful place and I’m really happy to be a part of it.

TroubleAgain, you’ve made my day. In fact, you’ve made my week, my month, my year, well…you get the picture. Hearing that from someone who I do not even talk to regularly really touched my heart. I always think that no one ever cares one whit about my posts, but now I’ve been proven wrong. Your posts stand out to me as well, and your kind and friendly nature makes you a wonderful addition to this board. No, I don’t think what you said sounds weird, even the sister part, in fact, I find it flattering! You can think of me as a sister if you want, if you allow me to consider you to be a sister of mine, too. big welfish hug

I also cannot forget Corvus! more welfish hugs I’m glad I brighten your day; you brighten mine as well! I remember when you first came to the board as a newbie and how people fought over ownersh–I mean, mentorship over you, and I was one of them.

My, my, my, there are so many people I would like to mention right now, but it can wait another day. I also have the great fear of leaving someone out. I know I hate being left out, and I am sure others are hurt by that, too. :frowning:

Just A Girl, you’re so desperate it’s cute. You’re new, but I’m sure you’re going to make a great poster. Love you :stuck_out_tongue:

I could put so many people in this post, but five in particular have given me a real SDMB boost, and I’ve needed it.

Wonko the Sane and hedra (Gabriel too) for making me feel like family at my first DopeFest. Hold on tight, the rocket ship takes off in five seconds…

tatertot for the e-card and the support. I was really moved, thanks so much. {{Tracy}}

Brynda for being 50% cooler than other Brendas and remembering me.

A bit of explanation for the last one–after I wrote the “Longterm Enforced Chastity Anonymous” OP I logged off, wandered away, then lay awake all night thinking, “Damn, why did I post that? People will think I’m insane!” Well, andygirl did. But she said she liked it anyway. I figured if she liked the post, it must be OK. Thanks.

Thank you, thank you. My family is large, but there’s always room for one more!

I’ve only been here a few months, have a very low post count and haven’t really interacted with any of the posters I don’t know IRL, but there are people whose posts I consistently enjoy reading [sub]none of whom have any friggin’ clue who I am.[/sub] :stuck_out_tongue:

Alphagene, andygirl, Anthracite, Coldfire, Duck Duck Goose, Eutychus55, Freyr, Guinastasia, matt_mcl, MysterEcks, pldennison, Polycarp

and many, many others who I can’t think of at the moment make this board as interesting and fun as it is.

Also, I would like to thank DigitalMuse, hypergirl, PurePhreak, and ssskuggiii for putting up with me IRL.

because she thought of me for this thread and because she’s just cool every time she decides to speak up.

stoid

If there’s one thing I’ve learned from college, it’s that sanity is overrated.

Still like you, for the record.

I don’t know anyone’s name but Cecil, and he doesn’t post messages. So it’s just a generic “I like the topics and discussion here.”

Awww, thanks Stoid.
You rock on ice! ( I am pretty sure thats a compliment, if “one ice” means something bad, I didn’t intend it that way)

once again proven…i mean nothing

rolls eyes at flikker and gives her a big hug

That’s cos I think of you IRL. You ARE wonderful and happy (well most of the time  ), a heck of a lot of fun and a very good kisser. And you’re STILL my favourite pink-haired girl. Friends are forever when they’re good ones.

more flikker hugs
