Well, I’m going to have to do something I hoped not to – ask for someone to sponsor me again this year. We’ve had the money to re-up, but owing to storm damage, we’re likely to be offline for a while while we relocate – our (rental) house was severely damaged by a falling tree. After we get resettled, we’ll sponsor someone else to pay that back.
It’s done, Poly.
Tuba, if you don’t mind, please make sure it worked. Thanks.
Yes, it worked. Polycarp is covered.
Your instructions were clear, and simple to follow.
I hate to ask, but I must. I would be most grateful if someone could help by paying for my subscription.
Honey should now be okay.
Wow, that was fast. Thanks so much.
Thanks for the sticky, Tuba.
Money well spent.
I’d be glad to sponsor someone. If I don’t see a request here immediately, just email me.
Posting again to subscribe to the thread.
And once again…
Well, on the one hand, I have a paying job. On the other hand, the pay sucks and I’ve been on four day weeks since Christmas, after two weeks of unpaid layoff. Goodbye savings. I’m strictly cheque to cheque. I also don’t have a bank account, so no Paypal. Sigh. Help. Dammit. Sorry.

Bless you, Rick. Many many thanks. I hate to beg and again the Dopers amazed me.
Folks,
It’s getting pretty close to deadline, but if there are any more Charter Members who still need help, please ask me.
I have been helped more than once in the past. It’s time to “pay it forward.”
I figure I can easily afford two Charter membership renewals (half-price). If no one responds by May19th, I will solicit a single non-Charter renewal. .
(Same difference.)
I actually feel a bit chintzy in such a limited offering. But I’m not affluent or even particularly prosperous these days. (Just not as broke as I have been when I needed help, though.) And most likely there are others who would still be willing to help some folks out, even as we go down to the wire.
To the future!

Hi, I’m a Charter Member who’s subscription is up soon.
I’m having problems trying toget the PayPal setup to work, and my time is getting short. TubaDiva has started a thread about such difficulties.
Can anyone help me by subscribing for me, and I’ll reimburse them? It would be $7.48. I’ll mail you a check, money order, or whatever, assuming you will trust me with your snail mail address. Heh, heh, heh. But seriously folks, I have Dopers who will vouch for me, having met me IRL.
My email is in my profile. I know it’s silly, but I don’t want to lose my Charter Membership.
You’re good to go Baker. At least, I hope I did that correctly. Maybe the gracious TubaDiva could check for us?
Baker is good to go for another year. Thanks, RJKGorgeous.

Ooops! I have just gotten online this morning about 20 minutes ago, after checking all weekend.
It looks like the opportunity will pass for a good deed for two charters, but maybe the thought is what counts. And there is always next year, if I’m still “around” to “paypal-it-forward” then!
Meantime, I will move up the threshold time for the single non-charter to mid-evening, Today, May 18.
So, all you “charters” remaining, hurry up!
Heh heh.

Thank you, ma’am!
And as for the gorgeous part, all I can say is it it’s a good thing my kids are much better looking than me!
Thank you RJKGorgeous! I really appreciate your help!
As I said, my email is in my profile, if you want to send me your snail mail address so I can pay you back. Or do you want me to email you first?
Cookies! I could send you cookies! My username is my profession. I’m the baker for the cafe located in our library, here in Topeka.
And thanks to you too True Blue Jack. When the opportunity presents itself I sure will pay it forward!
