This game is embarrassing, the vast majority of yards that the Cardinals have received on offense were through penalties, most of which are questionable. It’s really the Hawks vs Zebras in this game thus far.
Did the Refs give the Seahawks any penalties for ugly uniforms?
I assume the refs are using their eclipse glasses from a couples months ago, or a cereal box with a pinhole. No one can look directly at those uniforms without suffering permanent damage to their retinas.
Isn’t being seen in public enough?
Yes the uniforms alone were probably worth an unsportsmanlike attire penalty.
Things seemed to get back to normal 2nd half, with the usual handful of head-scratching penalties but nothing egregious.
Wow these Thursday games are brutal though, for injuries. I don’t remember a time when the Hawks had nobody from the Legion of Boom on the field for the defense. Luckily the backups did pretty well (McDougald in particular is fantastic). It’s a good thing they have extra time to recover.
Now it looks like it might be the Seahawks vs the League Office.
How are the Thursday Night uniforms chosen? I assume the league orders the team to wear some sort of garish color, but the team gets to choose exactly what?
Thursday night games are now “Color Rush” uniforms. They must be almost entirely one color, with small accents allowed. The uniform must be one of the team’s colors from the normal uniforms, but the team still gets to choose the color and design.
Seattle fans are so predictable. None of the penalties I saw were even close to being undeserved. The Seahawks are the most penalized team in the league because they commit the most penalties. Pete Carroll is on record saying he doesn’t care about flags, and bring super duper grabby is baked into their defensive MO.
The DPI called against Shaq Griffin early on was pretty bogus. A few others were ticky-tack, but defensible under the rules. I mainly object to the constant calling of penalties because it makes the game boring to watch, but I guess if you love flags…
Was there ever a fan anywhere who ever expressed a wish for a “color rush” game?
