Saturday Night Liove does a recurring and hilarious sketch parody-ing Celebrity Jeopardy. Invariably, a grouchy Sean Connery lauches succesive attacks upon a defenseless Alex Trebek.
Is this just something that they made up and that subsequently took on a life of its own, or is this carrying forward some true-to-life conflict that unfolded before the eyes of Celebrity Jeopardy viewers that I missed?
I have no idea but my favorite was when one category was “S-words” and Connery kept saying “Swords Alex!”
“I’ll take ‘the rapists’ for $400, Alex.”
“That’s ‘therapists’, you idiot!”
“I must ask about The Penis Mightier”
-“That’s The Pen Is Mightier”
“Gussy it up however you want, what I want to know is does it work, will it really mighty my penis, man”
“I’ll take titties for $100.”
“That’s TITLES.”
“Not a fan of the ladies, are ye, Trebek?”

And yes, I also LOVE these.
Darryl Hammond is the next Phil Hartman, he is so versatile. I think I like his Al Gore even more than Sean Connery.
Anyway, I always wondered where this skit originated and am anxious to hear if there really is tension between Trebek and Connery.
“Celebrity Jeopardy!” has been an SNL favourite for years, and it hasn’t always had Sean Connery.
In the first ever episode, Trebek handled a panel of Burt Reynolds as played by Norm MacDonald, Marlon Brando as played by somebody else, and somebody else. Alex’s final desperate attempt to get somebody to correctly answer a question was when the question value slid back to reveal a bright red screen and the question was “What colour is this?” Nobody got it, of course.
They use the Sean Connery gag a lot just because it’s funny.

AT: “Let’s just go to Animal Sounds for $600. This is the sound a doggy makes. Mr. Connery.”
SC: “Moo.”
AT: “No.”
SC: “Well that’s the sound your mother made last night.”
(B. Reynolds rings in and says “Who is, um, Scooby Doo (etc.)”)
(French Stuart rings in and says “Who is John Caferty and the Beaver Brown Band, thank you very much.”)
AT: “No! Good Lord! We would have accepted ‘Bow-wow’ or ‘Ruff’”
SC: “Oh, rough, just the way your mother likes it, Trebek.”

Alex whines about Regis for a sec, then says:
“…Sean Connery has set a new Jeopardy record for futility with…”
Sean: “Suck on it, Trebek. Suck it long, and suck it hard.”
Alex: “That’s beautiful. You kiss your mother with that mouth.”
Sean: “No, but I did something to your mother with this mouth.”
Finally, to address the OP, I can’t recall Connery ever being on the real Celebrity Jeopardy, but I’d pay money to see him on the SNL version.
I’ve heard somewhere that Sean Connery offended Alex Trebek on a live show.
Does anyone know if they have a movie of the “best of Celebrity Jeparody?” Or are some of the sketches on the 25th anaversery tapes? I love this sooo much. Probably my fav. is with Keenu Reeves:

I am gonna get fired, you have me rollin here. My favorite one was the ‘French Stewart’ ‘Burt Reynolds’ (and S.C. of course. Final Jeopardy. The Answer: A number (any number, just name a number off…) S.C.'s ‘question’: “V” Which is a Roman Numeral of course, so it scrolls down to reveal his wager… “Suck it Trebek” (the ‘V’ being the top part of the ‘K’ in ‘Suck’)
