Searching For A New Superman

Leeza Gibbons announced Saturday that there is a new Superman movie being slated to begin in 2005. They are currently looking for someone to replace Christopher Reeve.

She mentioned that Ashton Kutcher and Jude Law already turned down the part. GIVE ME A BREAK!!! Ashton Kutcher as Superman? The only reason this guy is getting so much attention is because he is dating Demi Moore. If they are going strictly on looks why not get John Stamos?

Ok truly I don’t know who would make a good superman. Christpher Reeve has big shoes to fill. Who do you think would make a good Superman?

Really, I think they should go with another Christopher. Christopher Lee, perhaps?

This is old news. They’ve been looking for a new superman for years. Nick Cage was up for the part once.

He should be another unknown, like Reeve was at the time.

Definitely not Dean Cain.

Dean Cain did NOT make a good Superman I agree.

I think going with an unknown might be a good anwser but if they chose a heavyweight it might add more to the part.

How about Evan Marriott, the guy who was on Joe Millionaire?

No one, they should have stopped this nonsense years ago. If you read the script they wanted to do you would puke out of rage and horror. Wait until Smallville goes a few more years and just use those guys.

I always thought George Clooney should have played Superman instead of Batman. All the qualities that made him such a lousy caped crusader would make him a perfect Superman. He’s got: 1)a chiseled body, 2)a chin you could use to cut glass with, 3)an extroverted, likeable, charismatic personality, and 4)can project a sense of righteous nobility. He’s a natch!

Plus, with his grey hair, he’d be perfect for a “Kingdom Come” adaptation! Just get Catherine Zeta-Jones to play Wonder Woman, and Harrison Ford to play the wounded, aging-faster-than-Kal-or-Diana Batman.

I liked Tars Tarkas idea of waiting for Tom W. to get his groove and flying powers and become Superman himself.

But you have to have a Lois Lane!

George Clooney is too old and too swarthy.

Mind you, I thought Dean Cain was a very good Clark; my problem with him was that he didn’t try to be any different as Superman.
