It was really Rick James (No one could ever invent him saying “…Like I’m gonna mess up Eddie Murphy’s couch. I got more sense than that…yeah, I remember messing up Eddie Murphy’s couch.”)
Yeah, the one talking that said “cocaine is a hell of a drug” was the real Rick James.
The Niggars sketch had me doubled over from laughter. The best part was when Dave stuck his head back in the room, yelled “Niggars!!” and ran back out the door.
I though Dave was kind of funny before the show. I had never seen his stand up, just his movie roles. His show flat out floored me. Has to be one of the smartest, funniest shows on television.
I’ve never even seen the show (no cable), but the most popular saying in my restraunt is “I’m Rick James bitch!” This can come in response to anything from “What’d the 5 fingers say to the face?” or just any inquary.
