Who says I wasn’t?
Bwahahaha!
Who says I wasn’t?
Bwahahaha!
No, that would have been great!
Because the cats need new litter liners…
Wow - that was fast! I’m not sure whether to be pleased or bummed - here I thought I’d be sending you something strange and exotic (c’mon, a plush crab!!) and it turns out you know the wonder of Old Bay. But I am glad you have fond memories of the Free State.
Where did you put in your time in Maryland?
Yay! Santa package received.
And so, here is the yearly “As Kat opens the gift post.”
First thing seen and pulled out of the box is a Reese’s Peanut Butter Tree. Yay!
Then I pull out one little box and untie the bow (there are 3 gifts, all wrapped in green/maroon/gold striped paper, with gold ribbons/bows). Open it up to find Cattitudes: A Cat’s Book of Wisdom. It’s a pop-up book with the wisdom of cats (Example: Unwind and enjoy life’s simple pleasures" with a pop-up picture of cats chasing a ball of yarn.)
The next-size-up package is: Build-Your-Own Kaleidoscope. I love kaleidoscopes! (I keep wanting to buy myself one, but then don’t, because I’m supposed to use my money on things like food, gas and bills.)
Then, the big one. Oh, my God. It’s a gorgeous purple scarf. Did you make this yourself, twickster? This is so awesome. Thank you! Thank you so much.
I should go wear this out in the snow.
I’m so glad you liked it, Quasi.
Oh good, I’m so glad you like the scarf – it is an extremely purple purple, and about halfway into (yes, I knit it myself) I started wondering what the odds are that you’d have a coat or jacket that would stand up to something quite that purple.
Enjoy! and stay warm!
Okay, just got back from the Post Office, gave my package to the guy with the beard and red suit, and he told me my giftee would for sure have his package before Christmas.
Had some other stuff to send as well, so, except for the tree and decorating for my grandson’s visit this weekend, I’m all set.
Anyone mind if I kick back with some egg nog spiked with rum?
Thanks Twicks for doing that for us this year! I know what is involved, and I also know that you did a fantastic job.
Quasi
Luckily, my coat is black, and thus goes with everything!
My hat and gloves are a less-purple purple, but I need to get new ones, and am planning on black or gray, so those will shortly go with it, too.
And…I would’ve known it was you even without the “twickster” on the package.
Thanks again.
Darn it, I was hoping twickster had drawn my name when she posted that she was making her gift. I made mine, too, and I hope it is as well-received.
Okay, mine is sent. I could not find packaging tape, so most of the box is covered in purple duct tape.
Very well received, see post 154. One of my coworkers complemented me on the “lovely matching necklace and earrings” (which may be a hint that I don’t wear matching earrings and necklaces enough). The magnet makes me smile each time I see it.
Well, I’m a dumbass. I didn’t see your post. Glad you liked the gifts.
received package from my SS - not opening til next week though! =)
Thank you in advance (I can barely wait!)
I got mine! I got mine!
It came in two parts: an envelope containing an issue of Topeka Magazine, and a box which I picked up from the post office today. I’m out of the country for Christmas, so I opened them now (also because I’m an impatient little bugger, me). Chock full of Kansas goodness! I love sunflowers, so it’s good that it’s the state flower of Kansas since now I have all sorts of sunflower stuff, including a coffee mug, a notepad and pen, and chocolate-covered sunflower seeds (which I really have to try and save until later…I got some last year or the year before, I think, and I ate them in about a day). Plus, when I opened the magazine to pages 50 and 51, as per instructions, who should there be but Baker! “The Pita Woman.”
How cool is that?
Thank you Baker, and merry Christmas! I’m going to read Topeka Magazine now (incidentally, Tristan Collins is quite cute…).
Okay, by my list I’ve got four people who have posted that they haven’t shipped yet and indicated more or less when they would (Dottygumdrop, erlichda, Queen of Town, Susie Derkins).
I’ve also got 11 people who haven’t posted yet to say that they’ve shipped. One of those people (ahem!) is my own personal Santa. (Ahem!)
I warned you up front, folks, that I take my job at Santa Central very, very seriously – don’t make me come after you.
Shipped today via USPS Priority Mail. Up, up, and away!
Mine went out yesterday!
just incase the SO hasnt been following the post…
Projammer left the house with the package in his hands, put it in his car, and drove off before i could rescue it. I mean, offer to take it, yeah that’s it… Had i not known better, I wouldve thought it was for me!
Now, whether or not he made it to the PO is another story…
I’ll nag at him - I mean, encourage, yeah thats it - to post a confirmation.
I know Dottygumdrop is out of her country on vacation and was planning on doing her shopping there. I think she posted to say that she would be mailing late.
Yes, and I mention her as one of the four people who have posted that there would be a delay in shipping. Those people aren’t the ones I’m nagging.
