Mine is going to be kind of delayed in the sending. I have exams this weekend and then I’m moving home, so it’s not going to get mailed until early next week… but hey, it’ll be worth it.
Come to think of it, I don’t think I got my gift from last year. Snerk.
I ordered my gift online and had it shipped directly to the giftee, with my real name on it, so if somebody, and I’m not saying who, gets a box big enough for, oh, say, a CD, from somebody you’ve never heard of in, say, Minnesota, it might not be a bomb.
Mine has no identifying info as to the giver. So if the person I sent the gift to wants to know who it’s from, they can always ask online, in a “Hey, were you my Secret Santa?” thread, and I’ll let them know.
Ok, thanks to the joy of abusing office privileges, my Sant-ee should be receiving a small cardboard box (previously home to some FedEx supplies) early next week.
I have cleverly concealed my name within the card, under a clevery placed post-it note.
Man, I feel kinda left behind here. My plan is to shop this weekend for my santaee and get the gift in the mail on Monday or Tuesday. So, by the end of next week, someone here should have a cool gift under their tree from me. (Damn business trip that kept me from retailing for nearly two weeks and off the message boards for nearly as long)
I sent it yesterday as planned. The return address label does not have a name, but the PO had no problem, as it has a street address, city, and zip. Besides, I look way too honest.
Dear Giftee, I hope you like your gifts, and yes, I wrapped them myself.
Shopped and shopped, bought and bought, thoughtfully made, wrapped wrapped wrapped (and darned nicely, too, if I do say so) and sent through my office by UPS Ground - should arrive at its destination next Wednesday.
That really was fun for me. There were years when I could barely afford to shop for my own family, so this felt like a fabulous luxury, and I enjoyed every minute of it!
