Sunday will be my last day on the SDMB this year. I’m going back to Texas to see my Mom and some of the relatives I didn’t get to see at Thanksgiving. I won’t be back 'till some time after New Year’s. Being a Straight Doper has been the most fun I’ve had in a long time.
Jois be careful with that code, you might break something!
Yes, people in Texas do have computers. But my mother isn’t one of them. In fact, I’m the only person in my immediate family who’s ever used the Internet or WWW. And the county where my mother lives is so rural, there’s only one Public Library in the whole county and it’s 17 miles from my mother’s house. And it’s 25 miles to the next county seat (Fort Worth, if you wanna know).
Then there’s my mother’s mechanical aptitude. My two brothers are always having to program her VCR for her and the stereo and the new TV and the DVD player. She has learned how to use the microwave oven, though. And none of her clocks blink 12:00. What I’m trying to say is that she could learn to use a computer, but she’s never needed to or wanted to.
Oh, well. None of that decreases my love for her one bit. And it makes me feel needed.
Well this really bugs me. I expect better from the likes of jab1! This is the Great Debates forum! I don’t want to come in here and read what is obviously MPSIMS junk!
Therefore I propose that we turn this into a debate. Proposed subjects:
Will jab1 return from Texas in 2000 and continue posting on the SDMB?
If it were to be bad for jab1 to return to the SDMB in 2000 would God let him? Would it matter if somebody prayed for him to not return?
Will jab1 macroevolve into another species while in Texas (one could argue that if he were to become Texan this would qualify ;))? If so prove it.
Will jab1 be divinely recreated while in Texas? If so prove it.

I was born in Texas. Therefore, I have already reached the peak of human evolution. I came to California to straighten out these poor, bean-sprout-eatin’, crystal-usin’, alien-worshippin’, Leftist potheads. In other words, I’m on a mission from God (David B).
Actually, I prefer the weather. According to the Weather Channel, it’s supposed to drop to 23F in Dallas the night I’m coming back. It’ll be the first time in eleven years I’ll experience freezing temperatures. Brrrrr!
