I loved that game. I haven’t had luck finding a good online version. Anybody know of one?

js_africanus, this is in no way an endorsement of such technologies, nor is it proof of my personal use of them, but do a Yahoo search on MAME (Multi Arcade Machine Emulator) or RAGE (Rdon’t Ahave Ga Eclue :)) for which you can download ROMs of games such as Dig Dug or all the other maddening ones you never got to finish.
They’re not any bloody easier now. My first wife will tell you.
Dig Dug is not on the list of their games, but you might want to try play.games.com for some near perfect (licensed) renditions of the following arcade games:
