I am trying to figure out how much i can sell my computer for. Its a HP 1502 and I’ve had it about 3 years. No clue what a reasonable asking price would be.
Assuming you mean this, and not this or this it looks like similar machines are selling on eBay for about $50-60.
It doesn’t look like any of those. Its a desktop.
That first link is to HP’s page on the HP Pavilion a1502.fr Desktop PC. Is that not the same system?
I found it hpcompaq dc5750 smallform factor
That model comes in a variety of flavors so it will depend on which CPU it has, how much memory, size of hard drive, etc - but those are the main factors - especially cpu type and memory (DRAM)
From the completed listing on ebay though, to give you a rough idea, the prices seem to be clustered around $100 plus $25-30 shipping. Lowest prices are in the high $70’s and highest are around $120 but there are a few that are higher. One is about $160.
I don’t think those prices include a monitor though. I think they are for just the machine and maybe the mouse and keyboard.
Ah, thanks. I have the monitor also.
I would keep that for your next machine. If you are buying a whole new system though, make sure you add an appropriate premium for the monitor and note in the title for the item listing that a monitor is included. There aren’t enough completed ebay listings to get a good sense for the going price but I would say no less than $20 and no more than $35.
You can also sell it separately but it will probably be cheaper to ship in one large package than 2 smaller ones.
thank you, though I am trying to sell it locally so no shipping.
Save it for backup. Your monitor or hard drive will go down. Cables go bad too.
I agree if the poster doesn’t have other backup. Something always fails and that HP is not that old. Why give it away, unless that’s the purpose?
