Yay! I just got the digital camera I’ve been waiting for from my husband & daughter as an advanced birthday present: Canon’s PowerShot A75.
It’s got way more features than I know how to use, so I’m going to have to do some learning. What better way than to start taking pictures? Other than the usual family shots, I was trying to decide what to snap. Other than this, I don’t know.
So, send me on assignment. You tell me what to photograph, sort of like a scavenger hunt but with pictures.
Hey, BTW, anyone else got one of these cameras? How do you like it? Let’s see your album!
Actually, as I’ve already made a photo album of my yard last spring when I very briefly became interested in gardening, I think I’ll save this until we actually finish our Halloween decorating. And I’ll have Cinnamon-little take the shots. She does take awesome photos already!
Dang, I’m out of ciggies. Guess it’s time for bed.
One of the joys of lovely Ohio. Kinda takes the sting out of being a swing (state). Harimad-sol, your name looks so much better in bold. Didn’t want you to think I was dissing ya.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot: Gum, you commented in my album! That is so cool. Thank you very much! See, it’s the little things in life that mean the most…
Considering how repressed Cincinnatians tend to be, it was a bit difficult coming up with a truly goofy landmark. Nothing here like a giant ball of yarn or anything. So, here’s the best I could do:
It’s grocery store called Jungle Jim’s and it’s pretty weird. The owner has achieved a modicum of notoriety for his wacked idea of turning a grocery store into some sort of entertainment venue. There are better pictures on the website. Sorry, about the crap quality of mine (I’m still learning how to use this camera obviously), but here’s a couple more:
I did find that despite all the money obviously spent on this place, they do have pretty good prices and great sales, too. And the product selection cannot be beat. They even have my cloves cheaper than anywhere in Cincinnati and No. Kentucky. Hooyah!
Hey there, devilsknew, nice to meet ya! Nice photos, too! My shoot today didn’t go so well. I had my kiddo with me and she was buggin today. The weather sucked which means that we also missed what was to be a lovely lunar eclipse. I’m a little down about it. Oh, well. On to the next assignment.
I’ll be checking out Wordphoto.org. Looks like fun; thanks much!
