I have the bulk mail folder activated in my Yahoo! account. Occasionally, something goes into bulk mail that should go into my inbox. No problem, I just click on “send to Yahoo! for review,” and I am assured that the message was “forwarded to customer care associates for consideration.”
All well and good, but the e-mail from that address continues to show up in my bulk mail folder day after day, even after sending it for “review” day after day.
What does it take for Yahoo! to fix this? Anyone have any idea of what the “customer care associates” do?
i don’t know what yahoo does after it is sent for review… but you shouldn’t really expect immediate response. Basically that “send for review” thing just gives them an idea of where and how their current set of rules are going wrong while trying to keep out junk for your inbox. i am assuming that if they see a pattern where specific valid mail is going to the junk folder instead, then they might change that specific rule. ofcourse, i have no clue whether their response time to this is 24 hrs or 1 year. My complaints/suggestions/bugs to their staff about their new beta mail has not received the most favourable or timely responses, or actions.
What you should do instead is to setup a custom filter in your Mail Options to deliver all mail from that addrsess to your inbox. This will prevent it from going to the junk folder.
Yes, you should never expect rapid response from the gang at Yahoo. I always assume there’s one guy who’s handling all of the “customer care” issues. Sometimes you’ll never get a response; other times, it’s just a few days or a week. Hang in there.
