Serendipity

Well, then, apparently, San Diego is as boring as Leesburg.

Well, the weather here is boring, I’ll grant you that.

Not that I mind.

I’m going to be in San Diego around Christmas. I’m definitely looking forward to it - after several Christmas’ in Florida, Christmas in Virginia or New Jersey just isn’t quite the same. I’ve never been to San Diego.

Susan

Selling your church? The whole thing, or just the steeple under your coat? <snerk>

Susan, I can’t recall how many Christmases it was in the 70’s. For some reason as a child it was always warm on the 25th, making it difficult to wear the cute red sweater my mom got me for the occasion.

Four Husbands are watching Bromwell High behind me. Help. It might be Venture Brothers next.
I need doughnuts.

It’s because the class was being loud and disruptive, mainly because no one respects him, and you don’t have to pay attention anyways, because we cover the same thing for 3 classes in a row, so if you can catch how to conjugate an -er verb in 10 minutes, you’re set for the next 3 days.

Maybe. Wanna be my altar boy? (I know it’s a stretch, but I couldn’t think of any other <snerk>able parts of a church.)

IHROK

(I hope Rue’s okay)

:frowning:

<snerk> IN BED! <snerk>

Yep Bobbio the whole church. Except the stuff we’re takin’ with us. That’s essentially everything that’s not nailed down. Well, some stuff we’re takin’, such as the Stations of The Cross are kinda nailed (screwed, really) down. Baptists don’t want em anyways so that’s no big deal.

donkey that was actually pretty <snerk>worthy. You are learning well, grasshopper.

Did the Baptists run the Whiskeypalians out of Leesburg, or sumpin’?

I hope your congregation is moving to bigger and better digs…

We are about to embark upon the building of a bigger place. Actually, my church is in Albeeny. There is a Whiskeypalian church in Leesburg, but bein’ as I actually live closer to Albeeny (I’m in the country), I took up with the Albeeny Whiskypalians. In the mean time we’re gonna be hanging out at a UMC about a quarter mile from where the new digs will be so as to get folks used to comin’ out that way for church.

Last night, one of my college roommates came to visit with her husband, stopping to stay over at my house on their way to someplace else. (Well, we didn’t go to college together, but we were roommates at the time we should have been going to college.)

Have you ever woken up for work and realized you hadn’t sobered up from the night before?

Today sucks. :frowning:

Yesterday wasn’t a good day. :frowning: Wednesday night Mr. Anachi had to go back to the ER cause he was feeling faint and had tingling in his hands. All the testing showed he wasn’t having another heart attack but he was admitted for further testing. They did an echocardiogram yesterday. His doc cut him loose about 8:30 last night but he had to go back this morning for a stress test. They want to rule out that his stent isn’t being rejected. If it is, it could mean bypass surgery. :frowning:

Also, me poor brudder is stuck in Houston. He had planned to evacuate to Dallas where one of my sisters lives but as I’m sure you’ve seen, there ain’t no way out of Houston. He has lots of trees around his house. He tried to get out again this morning but gave it up and went back home. Please send good vibes to Brudder Tom and his little dog Oscar.

So bobbio is doing next week’s MMP? You go bob! I’m sure you will do swell.

Let the weekend begin and may it be dry and windless with good vibes settlin over all the kool kids and they’s loved ones.

Tupug

Puggy, prayers and good vibes headed to Mr. Anachi, Brudder Tom and Oscar. Hope all goes well at the doc and that Brudder and doggy can get out of Houston.

Tupug, I’m sorry to hear that you and the hubby had to go through all of that yesterday. I sure hope all turns out well. My thoughts are with you. Warm vibes are being sent to your brother and his doggie too.

My head feels like it’s stuffed full of cotton. I’m on cold medicine, but it really isn’t doing a damn thing for me. Worse, is the whole drippy nose syndrome. My poor nose is so raw. I just want to be at home with a nice, warm blanky, a good book, a fire in the fireplace, and something warm to drink. But, NOOOOOOOO, I must be here, because I have a meeting. Crap!

Also, can you believe some little snot stole my 15 year old daughter’s PE clothes?! Cripes! So, this weekend we need to buy her new PE clothes and a lock for her gym locker. Apparently, they are not supplied. How friggin’ assinine is that?

Well, I need to go through my eleventy billion e-mails now.

chaoticmom has issued a decree. I must come home as soon as I get out of class today, because southern Arkansas is going to get hit by a hurricane. A big hurricane. Arkadelphia is going to get blown away, and I HAVE to come home.

But she won’t pay for my gas in order to do so.

I got my awesome cool bracelet/wristband in the mail yesterday! It’s this one

What’s the title of this thread? That’s right.

I just went out to get some lunch, and beheld a beautiful sight. A Farmer’s Market. Among the fine purveyors of agricultural products were the representatives of several local orchards.

The donuts have been purchased. No all I have to do is get 'em packed and in the mail.

Hopefully they were all stanky. Unless, of course, the thief has a fetish…

Come Monday, what I post for the MMP will have ‘MMP’ in the title, so you don’t miss it.
[/serious mode]

Party on.

Have I told you that I’ve actually been to Albeeny before? I was even there when Challenger blew up…

Whiskypalians taking up with Methodists? I realize that being country neighbors to the new digs is a big reason, but need I remind you that they profess to not liking alcohol? What were you guys thinking? :smack: :stuck_out_tongue:
