Series you've recently watched, are now watching or have given up on

She works for the Evaporation Society. I don’t think she came from anywhere in particular or fits in in any special way, she’s just the person that happens to be leading the crew that’s disappearing Greta. Presumably Margo still had contact with them and arranged for them to get Greta.

They were both played by the same actor, Josh Finan.

Really? Oh, that would explain the resemblance. :man_facepalming:

No, I did not think I had to put an /s in my first post.

I’ve been watching it myself since it made its way to Hulu. I’m well into season 4 (just about done with the series). I love it (with the exception of most of season 3).

This is despite knowing (or maybe because I knew?) the major spoilers going in (I watched a retrospective on it a couple years ago, assuming I would never see the show because there was no way I was getting Peacock—I didn’t even have Netflix at the time).

I think we’re still in season one, but it’s gotten more interesting now.

The transition from Season One to Season Two isn’t subtle. You’ll be quite aware of it.

By ‘more interesting’, without spoiling anything, I’m guessing you’ve met a few new characters, Real E____, Bad J_____ and Trevor, right?

Yes, and everyone is at least briefly hot for Chidi.

I watched the first episode of The Madison with my wife last night. Kurt Russell was (of course) great, but every other character got on my nerves from the git-go and I don’t care if they mature into nice people, I’m out.

Completely understandable, though.

We just started watching The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins - NBC sitcom new this winter.

It’s hitting pretty well, Tracy Morgan plays Reggie Dinkins, an ex-football player who left the gridiron 20 years ago in a gambling scandal, and Daniel Radcliffe as a washed-up documentary filmmaker who is making a documentary about Reggie.

Tracy Morgan’s character is… a mellow-but-familiar variation of his character on 30 Rock. Radcliffe’s character is both serious and a bit unteathered, and he’s fun to watch. And the rest of the regulars (Reggie’s girlfriend, ex-wife/business manager, son, and best friend) are all solid.

It walks a line quite nicely between 30 Rock and The Office. If you don’t like both of those, you won’t like this… probably.

I am a little tired of the ‘mockumentary’ style, but putting Daniel Radcliffe, the director, on screen as a main character is a refreshing take.

In large part because of the discussion here, I binged How to get to Heaven from Belfast yesterday. It’s a show I would never have thought about watching, and I loved it. So, um, thanks!

Which is basically him.

As I did with 30 Rock, I’m enjoying Reggie Dinkins in spite of Tracy Morgan’s presence.

Is this show taking anything, besides part of the name, from the excellent British show, The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin?

Nothing. No grot in sight.

Just finished The Residence. Absolutely loved it. Knowing what I know now, I’m really condescending watching it again. I’d be up for a second season as well, but it doesn’t look like that’s happening.

And, this guy could be the love child of Thomas Lennon and John Cleese.

ETA, And I loved Al Franken in his role.

When that guy first appears in the little illustrated title cards, he resembles Edgar Allen Poe. So that actor ought to do a Poe biopic.

I saw a reference to him looking like the guy that looks like a child molester on Bob’s Burgers.

We reached the turning point, yay! Thanks for your advice.

In that case, as promised, here’s the video I mentioned earlier:
