Ha, those guys look like the biggest fucking goofballs I’ve ever seen!
I recall thinking how stupid goatees looked when they started to come into style. I think saggy pants are ridiculous but kids are still wearing them after and it’s been what, almost 20 years now. I recall seeing young men wearing them in 1997.
As Endorra from “Bewitched” said: “What is normal to you, is asinine to us.”
I can’t say, but I’m trying to find out. I just started letting my face grow out (which means I stopped shaving about 4 weeks ago and finally someone might notice). Sadly, it’s a lot whiter than my head.
I think Alex Trebek looked a lot better with a mustache . It really depend on the guy wearing it to me . Some guys can pull it off and some can’t .
Now mustaches on women look ridiculous ! I seen some women that could shaved their mustaches or waxed it off.
Longer than that. Kids were sagging their pants in middle school back in 1988.
He might single-handedly bring back the vest for men too.
I don’t think by definition they are ridiculous. Many are, but mostly because people exaggerate them or don’t properly care for them. I so agree with the previous poster who mentioned Alex Trebek. He rocked his 'stache for years and doesn’t look right without it.
I came of age in the era of the porn 'stache, when everyone had them and most of them just looked silly, but a reasonably-sized well-groomed mustache does look good on many men.
There’s a gentleman I work with who recently surrendered the comb-over fight against baldness and shaved his head. He also began growing a mustache, which is making him look less like a kewpie doll and more, dare I say it?, manly.
Back in the 80’s my husband actually looked a lot like Tom Selleck, moustache and all. He’s had it as long as I’ve known him…doesn’t look ridiculous in the least. He shaved it off only once but he looks like a baby face without it and he has a big scar from a childhood accident so it stays.
Well, they do provide a very economical form of transportation
And at only five cents, such a bargain!
You just get used to people wearing a mustache. When you say Alex Trebec or Tom Selleck look better with one, isn’t it just that we’re all used to seeing them that way?
Imagine Groucho Marx without his mustache. Now that’s weird.
No , I really think Alex Trebec looks better with a mustache it covered his lips which I don’t think look that good. My ex husband wore a mustache and he had very thin lips , he looked much better with a mustache.
I’m sure you do. But what if Alex Trebec’s fame had preceded his mustache instead of vice versa? You’d think he looked odd is my wager.
Mustaches always look ridiculous. They are the furthest thing from appealing. I completely support one’s decision to have a mustache, but I certainly won’t take such persons seriously.
Interestingly, a picture of Groucho’s mustache on its own is more recognizable as Groucho than the other way around. Especially if you add a cigar.
I’ve heard that when Groucho walked around without his Groucho get-up, no one would recognize him.
My wife has never seen me without my moustache, but she’s seen pictures from the last time I’d shaved it before we met. She told me to never shave it again.
No.
The OP is wrong on every count.
I had to check the name to be sure I hadn’t written this. I shaved the upper lip once a few months ago. Got a general ‘meh’ from everybody, including the wife, so after a week I didn’t see any need to keep scraping the moustache off in the morning.
I wear the Prince/Vincent Price mustache and it is dead sexy! OP is wrong, wrong, wrong!!!
