I’ve been getting server errors tonight, and log-outs. Just me?
I’ve gotten a variety of errors, including that the Board is down for maintenance.
Once when I got in, it passed through the Project Shield page first - that’s Google’s DDOS defender. Related, perhaps.
I felt that. Ouch. Somebody fix this darn thing, please.
And we’re back
It’s been flakey.
I’ve gotten timed out too.
It’s spotty at best.
Patience. It takes time to feed all of the hamsters.
Aren’t those hamsters getting old? We need new stock.
Yeah, I got the down for maintenance screen maybe an hour ago. Glad it’s back.
Got some server errors about 10 minutes ago. Seems okay now.
No, not okay now. Getting them sporadically. Like a lover who does not have much time to spare, it comes and goes.
Not sure what’s happening. Have asked management to look into it.
That being said, I’m not seeing any problem right here right now but of course YMMV. Sorry about that.

It’s been intermittent all evening, with varying symptoms, ranging from generic “server error” messages to an “SDMB maintenace” splash screen to a database error screen, all of which have disappeared with normal operation resuming, and then going south again and the process repeating.
Maybe coincidental, but yesterday morning was the first time in a long time that my User CP incorrectly showed no new posts in my subscribed threads.
It was one of those times when -------- I made a post, wrote a second post, and all Hell broke loose with errors and then maintenance. I was afraid Al Gore had finally tracked me down and put a stop to me. 
We should replace them with capybaras.
