I agree with you quite a bit, just coming up with the poll options it started out easy- and then got harder and harder especially since I only had 10 boxes to work with. I guess for the “curious” people, i just tend to think of them as closer to bisexual, but you’re right in that it’s a continuum.
Maybe it could have been 1 is male 10 is female, 5 is bisexual, and you can vote for where you fall under?
But then I couldn’t get the gender data in there as well.
So it was tricky to try to get both data sets at the same time.

I’m also intrigued to see such a high percentage of females who self-identify as bisexual (but not homosexual); one wonders if that’s indicative of humanity at large, or merely the clientele of this particular message board.
It roughly matches my survey of doper sexuality some years back, which reflected Kinsey’s data for the general population. This reflected the tendency of women as a whole to identify as bisexual at a much higher rate than men did.

Intersex is the term usually for those who don’t really fall into the category of XX or XY. There are very few “true hermaphrodites” as the term used to be (with having both parts) but there are plenty of pseudo-hermaphrodites, or those may be phenotypically one way but raised another way. The recent case of the South African Runner is a notable example of someone who may be intersex- having XY chromosomes but ambiguous genitalia and/or relating perhaps to a gender that their genetics may not designate them as. Basically it’s the “other” option for the first part of the poll: Since I had Males and Females, I felt it only fair to include those who do not consider themselves in those categories as well to have a chance to vote. (And I would have thought there were one or two intersex people on the Dope, oh well).
As for Straight- you can certainly have fetishes and be straight or homosexual, I created “none of the above option” mostly for paraphillias and for those simply DO feel that none of the above categories defines their sexuality (Straight, Homosexual, Bisexual, or Asexual)- but mostly all of that’s in the eye of the beholder- so I guess you’ve got to define it for yourself on what you think you fall under in the spectrum of how you define your sexuality.

None of the other choices mentions anything about age of object of desire, so I don’t see what the difficulty is here. From what you’ve posted you’re a straight male.
That said, you do have a modifier to that, but it’s sort of like a straight man with a shoe fetish or an elbow fetish, he’s still a heterosexual male - except of course that if you ever *acted *on your “fetish” you’d be a loathsome criminal.

Look up the anime Kiddy Grade. Many of the characters were named after characters from Shakespere, nursery rymes, and other sources I’m not familiar with. Cesario was one of the supporting cast on that show who I really liked. And I particularly liked the symbolism inherent in his relationship with his partner Viola.
