SF Doper Lunch

So Obs suggested I take him on one of my lunch forays, Sassy wanted in too. I thought I’d throw it open for anyone who wants to come.
I’m open to suggestions and changes. However, I humbly submit the idea of going to lunch on Thursday the 10th at 11:30 am (to beat the crowds) at one of two places. Tu Lan (a really cheap very excellent vietnamese place) or Plouf ( a more expensive but still excellent french seafood place).

Sassy, Obs? Anyone else?

I’d love to get together for lunch in the city, and Thursdays are hands down the best day for me, but I’m sorry. Both those places sound disgusting, lol… Lemme know when you hit a fine burger establishment, such as Tony’s Cable Car. :wink:

I’ve yet to meet any of my fellow Dopers personally, and this sounds like a fine opportunity, if it weren’t for two things.
1 - I only have 30 minutes for lunch during the week,
and
2 - I currently find my self in a feduciary deficient situation (I’m broke). {Things may be looking up though. It’s my birthday on Friday, and I’m expecting some cards from my relatively well-off relatives.}

But, hey if you want to hit Carl’s Jr. on the weekend, let me know.

Hi guys! I’m Jack. Here, have a french fry. [munch munch] Oops! Time for work! Bye! Oh wait, what was your name again?
:stuck_out_tongue:

SF resident of five years and SOMA resident for six months speaking here. Tu lan is indeed disgusting. But it also has amazing food. I’ve seldom eaten better. The whole place really should be sandblasted. It’s also usually very very crowded. Perhaps ti couz in the Mission would work better? It’s generally not packed for lunch.

Never heard of Plouf…where is it?
