Shadow Complex anyone? Awesome.

This game is AMAZING. If you grew up on and loved Metroid, Castlevania, Megaman and Bionic Commando you must try this game. It’s gotten stellar reviews and definitely lives up to them. The graphics are great. The controls are great. And the maps are great. It really is an excellent throwback to the Collect-abilities-to-proceed-and-go-back-to-old-unreachable-area 2d side scrollers of the past.

I know it’s on XBL but not sure if it’s on PSN. HIGHLY worth the $15. At least try out the demo.

Well, it’s certainly not one of the best games of this generation  (sorry, just got back from that thread)

Anyway, it is pretty great, I’m having a good time with it. Though it inspired me to go back to Metroid Prime and I had forgotten how f’ing great that game is, so thanks Shadow Complex. Seriously though, the game is fun, and the price point is great. I just wish the setting were a little more inspired. Oh, and that it didn’t star Nathan Drake.

Not on PSN. It was published my Microsoft, so that’s not terribly surprising.

I’ve been following this for a bit now and I’ve been wanting to play it for awhile. It looks really good. I’ve looked around and it seems to be getting stellar reviews. However I was surprised to find this article on Kotaku concerning some controversy brewing around Orson Scott Card’s involvement in the game. He had nothing to do with the development but I guess the setting is based on some novels of his.

It says at the begnning that it is in the world of Empire by OSC so they aren’t hiding it.

I have to say I was VERY surprised by how similar the protagonist is in design to Nathan Drake. The belt buckle with Tshirt tucked in makes him look literally identical to ND.

Yeah, and same voice actor too. At least the Prince in Prince of Persia, who also shared the same voice actor, looked completely different…well, mostly.

Really? Same voice actor? Wow.

Still a great game.

Played for another few hours today. I gotta repeat, this game is GREAT and if you pass it by you are missing out on a real gem and it’s only $15. The abilities you gain are fun and the weapons are fun too. It can be fairly challenging though. Some tough areas to clear.

Absolutely wonderful game. I love the pacing, the music, the graphics, the story and the toys. I’m a loot-muncher, so I’m biased, but this might just climb up on the 2009 Top 5 list, if it has any lasting appeal.

Yeah, I’m looking forward to downloading SC, it looks very cool> Maybe when I finish Batman.

Little highjack - I’d like to throw a bone to another fun side scroller: 'Splosion Man.
