because I believe her that she’s having trouble with the board, and while that’s a null tell, a Villainous Lizzy could very easily jump on my train by saying she’s always suspicious of me or something like that.
I still have some votes down, I want to discuss them instead of just leaving them from a play I made days ago. I may unvote all later, because I don’t want to contribute to exiling someone I don’t have a strong read on.
But my votes right now are still on:
Mahaloth: not enough info to read him. Everything he’s done so far could be either alignment.
DemonTree: I agree with Quinn that they are not posting. That could be either alignment for a newbie. Right now they’re tied for the lead which could be good for coaxing them out of hiding to get more info on them.
LH75: I can’t really tell. Without other information, they could have just thought I was Town or they could have been defending me because they know I’m town and Pardel-Lux’s vote will make him look bad.
Unvote Mahaloth I guess because I’d like to see him live through Day 1 and say more. That leaves LH75 and DemonTree tied unless someone else voted while I’ve been typing this. It’ll be telling I think to see what happens now.
I’ll be posting less for the next 5 days because my daughter is coming to visit, but I’ll check in later.

Not that I should object to being singled out when the consistent theme of my posts is the utter unknowability of this game in this format. Nor that my previous post was readable as a plea to be put out early.
Plus, this is basically the analog to being picked last for teams in gym class in school, so it’s territory I’m familiar with.

@AngeloftheNorth: eh. I had an idea, but it kind of fizzled.
I asked you and @Thing.Fish about your comments specifically about roles (and, in particular, about watchers and trackers). Here’s why:
I was trying to come up with stuff that the Villains know that I don’t. One of those, as it happens, is the mechanism by which the Villains kill at Night. Do they designate an individual killer, who performs the Night Kill as a discrete action? Or do they simply vote on a target and that target is killed (absent other powers intervening)? The former system is perhaps a little more common, but I’ve played both systems a lot and I was surprised that it wasn’t mentioned at all in the rules. Now, watchers and trackers only have value to the Town at all if the Villains have to choose an individual killer. My theory was that someone talking about such roles could potentially be betraying non-public information about the mechanism of the Villains Night Kill.
But both of you answered me in such a way as to make it seem to me like you were just sort of making a working assumption. Neither of you reacted defensively or like you thought you might have revealed something. So I think that was a wash… but it was worth trying.
Are your reasons “so people will vote for me now?” Because this is starkly anti-Town.

I haven’t been posting much because I don’t really know anyone or what to look for, and I’ve been busy in other threads.
However, checking the list of posters, I was at least 3rd from last when @Thing.Fish posted, which makes me wonder why he’s singling me out as lurking.

First off, I play with SunUp over in the Botticelli thread (a somewhat complex form of 20 Questions), and he’s brilliant at it.
Then he comes in and has this lovely, long rigmarole on the number of possible Scum. So, I wonders to meself, what will his newbie reaction be to having a D1 vote on him… a shenanigan vote, if you will.
Answer is, pretty typically, a quick revenge vote.
