No usually it’s a blind redirect.
It depends on the power.
In one scenario it could be if anyone targets player A move the target to player B.
Or
It could be. Redirect any action Angel has to John Smith.
We don’t know which way the action went.
But usually the redirector doesn’t know what the action is, just moving the action to a player of their choice.
The only action where it would help to redirect from one villain to another is to redirect a known cop to check a godfather.
Godfathers are villain/scum players that will read as villagers to an alignment cop.
So the idea is to get some villager credit for a scum so they can hide longer.
Guys, I am not a Villain. I am Hamlet. I targeted Mahaloth and was redirected to Quinn. He is Angelo from Measure for Measure.
Look at the behavior at end of day when Mahaloth started gaining a train.
Also look at who’s been posting today and who hasn’t.
And also look at Quinn saying he was glad I didn’t use the question about Mahaloth and Biotop’s interaction as a chance to shade Biotop.

Well, scum Angel is certainly not going to come out starting Day 2 with a fake claim that’s going to make her look guilty as hell once I get dispatched, especially when she’s already one teammate down.
So Angel is probably telling the truth. Maybe the redirection or whatever worked in such a way that she still got Mahaloth’s character name, but attached to me? And per Wikipedia, Angelo is pretty clearly a Villian.

I suspect it was a Bomb (which automatically slays a Villain), rather than a Vig (who had to guess who to kill … rather llucky to hit upon a Villain!)

Sorry, Thing.Fish is Quinn on the other board we play on. That’s just me using the name I know him best as, it doesn’t have to do with the name claim.

And since the info given suggests the player is a villain, that’s not what happened.
@AngeloftheNorth , what makes you think the player you originally targeted (Mahaloth) is also a villain?
I have a few thoughts on the names and possible roles that could fit them, but I want to see what other players have to say first.

Quinn/thing comes in and says nope your result on me is wrong but then instead of voting AotN, votes Mahaloth?
From MY POV. mahaloth is innocent and not involved in this at all…. And AotN and Thing are the scum team….
I will always mistrust Angel, but there is the change she’s speaking the truth.
