Shakespeare Mafia -- Act II

Oh and one more thing @Bicycle_Bill the discussion of the day has nothing to do with anyone playing with one another before.

We have a cop claim.
The non verified cop gave a result
The person that was checked wasn’t the result that the cop asked for.

AND the person counter claimed the results.

Someone is lying.

It could be Angel
It could be Thing
It could be a mechanism or the Mod is screwing with us. (99.9% of the time Mods are righteous)

Mods screwing with us situations are reserved for “gastard” games.

Gastard?

There was a game back when, when a villain (falsely) claimed to have a posting restriction that they were required to use the letter G in place of B, and called the mod of that game a gastard for requiring that. Since then, it’s become shorthand for the sort of mod, or the sort of game, where the moderator actively and deliberately screws with the players. These games are generally advertised as such (though the precise way in which they’re gastard is usually secret, and figuring that out is a big part of the game). For instance, we had one once were there was no Scum team, and everyone in the game was actually a serial killer, and the way to win (given the serial killer’s stated win condition) was for everyone to die.

Mahaloth 3 (Thing.Fish 50-72, glee 54, AngeloftheNorth 63, Bicycle_Bill 128)

One hour left.

Not a day for late shenanigans.

Well, you never know.

Dafuq?

Yet who would have thought the old man to have had so much blood in him?

I stand corrected.

Enter Duke Vincentio

THING.FISH
O my dread lord,
I should be guiltier than my guiltiness
To think I can be undiscernible,
When I perceive your Grace, like power divine,
Hath looked upon my passes. Then, good prince,
No longer session hold upon my shame,
But let my trial be mine own confession.
Immediate sentence then and sequent death
Is all the grace I beg.

DUKE
For this new-married man approaching here,
Whose salt imagination yet hath wronged
Your well-defended honor, you must pardon
For Mariana’s sake. But as he adjudged your
brother—
Being criminal in double violation
Of sacred chastity and of promise-breach
Thereon dependent for your brother’s life—
The very mercy of the law cries out
Most audible, even from his proper tongue,
“An Angelo for Claudio, death for death.”
Haste still pays haste, and leisure answers leisure;
Like doth quit like, and measure still for
measure.—
Then, Angelo, thy fault’s thus manifested,
Which, though thou wouldst deny, denies thee
vantage.
We do condemn thee to the very block
Where Claudio stooped to death, and with like
haste.—
Away with him.

Thing.Fish, who played the role of Angelo, a villain, is banished.

Act II, scene 2: The ramparts of Elsinore Castle, at midnight

Good job, Angel! 2 down, 1 or 2 to go…

But will our Hamlet make it through the night? And if so, can we truly trust the Prince of Denmark again?

Hooray!

If anyone has protective powers, now would be a good time…

Congratulations to Mahaloth for making it thru 2 Days.

Are you still teaching?

I have to say, I am incredibly glad to see that flip. If TF had flipped Town, the ensuing shitstorm might have crashed the board.

Hearts and flowers to AngeloftheNorth, but also pre-emptive apologies for the following: we should all remember that this result, while very useful, does not fully clear Angel. I think it is near-definite that she is a name investigator, but such a role would be useful for the Villains and could just as easily have been redirected from Mahaloth onto Thing Fish. I am leaning 80% Town on her, but false certainty is no one’s friend

I think we can wait and see whether AotN survives the night before bothering to get suspicious of her. :slightly_smiling_face:

BTW, for the Newbies, in a typical game the body count would be 3 minor Town players. Town is ding amazingl well,.

NETA: doing, not ding.
